Happy Chinese New Year

Happy Chinese New Year every1. First of all, I didn't have time to blog when I was back home last Friday night. Was so busy setting up my very own Ragnarok Online server for my university hostel. Well, now that I'm setting up the server, I finally understand how hard is it to program/write scripts for a game. Edit levels, balance the game, set the rates/drops and etc. Very challenging :D

Celebrated CNY in my grandma's house in Teluk Intan, Perak. F.Y.I, Teluk Intan has no beach. It's Teluk name still remains unknown lol. Ate some vegetable dish called "Zai Choi". Do correct me if there's error in my Han Yu Ping Ee. Had good food back in Teluk Intan of course. Remember? Small town has always been well-known for its good food. Sad thing is, no Chee Cheong Fun this year. Price is a lil too costly since the boss raised up the price for one roll of chee cheong fun from RM1 to RM2. GILA!!!

Return home on the 3rd day of CNY. Dad retires from driving back and forth from K.L. It's quite tiring though cause I had to drive all the way back to K.L. 2 hours without jam thank goodness! Now for the red packets...jeng jeng jeng...RM465. Considered little or not?...

Have an EGG today!

Micro.C lab today was terrible. He gave us 3 questions on the spot. Answer all questions within 2 hours and demonstrate the results to him. Oh well, managed to do 2 questions only. 3rd question...no idea at all. And here comes the worst part...

When students ask for demo:

En. Zul: Ok, sekarang 92H, tukar dalam binary. You'll get 10010010. Ok, next tukar 23H dalam binary = 00100011. Sekarang, tambah dua nombor tersebut DALAM KEPALA. He doesn't allow u to perform counting operations on a paper. Must be in the brain.

HOW THE HELL U ADD 10010010 & 00100011 IN YR MIND $#@&(*$@#!#$%^^&*! TOO MUCH RIGHT!?

Hafiz was able to get his signature. And that was only the 1st question! Moreover, he just asks the Hafiz to add both numbers in HEXA and not BINARY! Zzzzz... Mechatronics students were describing us as "Human Computer" or soon-to-be "Processors"... This is just LAB1. What's the reason? Does he really want us all to fail!?!? NOT EVEN A DEGREE STUDENT CAN CALCULATE THAT MAN!

In the end, the rest of us had 0 marks for our lab. Wasn't able to perform calculations in our minds...

Class Cancel!

Was kinda free this whole afternoon - night. Ethnic Relationships & Data Comm class cancel. It's just damn sad cause we had to go dere...and return in less than 15mins. Might as well don't go at all. Haha. Rest..played and sleep from 5.15-7.30pm. Hope that I'll be able to sleep tonight. At night, went to Kuala Perlis for badminton with some buddies and 2 juniors. One of them is a zone representative for Kulim. Reached hostel at 12.00am.

Contentment

Life has been pretty ok so far. If not for Micro.C, it would be EVEN better. Oh well, no escape. Lecturer fr Micro.C today was alright. Was able to understand his lectures. As for Computer Systems, it's alright. En.Nazri is so friendly and nice. Makes us feel much more comfortable in his class. Database System is quite boring, especially during lectures. Fell asleep for abt 5mins...x boleh tahan.

My timetable has changed:

Monday - 3 lab sessions
Tuesday - 3 lecture sessions
Wednesday - 3 lecture sessions
Thursday - 2 lab sessions
Friday - F.R.E.E

Looking back into form 6 somehow makes me think that I did make the correct decision. Begin to enjoy the subjects that I'm studying currently. In contrast to Biology, it's better in the sense that, there's not much theoretical. More practical =). Thank God that I was able to make the correct decision...

Dealing with lecturers

Had Microcontroller lab today. First 10mins, En.Zul asks us to start doing our lab. Thank goodness my room mate and I did preparations before the lab. After 10mins, he brief us a lil on the lab session. I could only get a general idea of what he's saying. Zzzz.

Tension begins to rise. En.Zul told the class that they should prepare all the exercises b4 the lab session. During his lab, just bring yr files and if there's problem...troubleshoot. WTH!? He didn't even brief us on the lab, and yet he asks us to do it on our own. Come on man!

Kite went and ask some questions. En.Zul simply replied "Pergi study buku!"
Fikri was a lil lost in the command prompt section. En Zul said "U baik pergi cari kawan, suruh dia dtg ajar, KALAU TAK U FAIL!" And if the person didn't teach him, he fails as well. LOLZ!!

I was having trouble in the memory section. He replied "APA NI, MEMORY LA BUKAN ROM" @.@ I didn't ask anything about ROM wei. What I ask was how to locate the memory address. Gosh. Only a few students managed to touch the 3rd question. Some of them are still lost in the 1st question. I did until the 2nd question only :(

Hostel life

My daily routine is almost the same as last time. The difference is that now I’m able to do more chores in a short period of time. All thanks to the great water pressure at ground floor. To clarify it, I’ll list down the pros and cons.

Pros:

High water pressure – Higher than my hse wei lol
Emergency – less worries when u need to grab stuffs asap/toilet
Less staircase to climb – decrease amount of carbs lost
Encourage sports – since my current location is so near the vball/bball court
Cooling most of the time – cold air stays down, hot air rises remember?

Cons:
More insects and ants – near the paddy field shyte!
Window is too easy to open – encourage thieves to enter

Looks like there’s more good than bad this time. Oh well, just have to deal with life. As for ytd, we had some food fiesta at my friend’s place in Pauh, Perlis. Rent about 7 cars, where the seniors ‘us’ takes 4 and juniors takes 3. This time, I told myself not to drive. I have my own reason heh. Ask me on9 if you’re curious means haha. At night, one of my friends suggest that the juniors shouldn’t drive since it’s quite dangerous.

Foong Yih told me to drive as I did not take in any alcohol. I was able to resist the temptation of Carlsberg and Guiness haha. Reached home around 12am.

UniMAP

So, I'm back to UniMAP. Reached Kuala Perlis at 4.45am. When I reach my hostel, the feeling of not going back there is so strong. My heart keeps telling me "Miss home so much, miss friends so much, miss everything!". I prayed that God will put my path straight, and to kill this feeling. Every time I look back at Subang Jaya, I just don't wanna leave dere...I really do. After a while, things started to get better.

And now, here I am blogging about my life. Told myself that I'm just gonna finish my diploma and get the hell of out here. Do my very best to get scholarship, and end this misery once and for all. It's the last year, and yup...ALL IN!

Things that I've enjoyed during my holidays:

1) Hang out at Sidharth place and watch Evil Dead

2) Playing water ballons at Kev's place. Aim the alley cats!

3) Getting to know Sheryll and Jolene in BBQ party. Although traveling to their place was far, it was worth all of it.

4) Watch all the nice movies when I'm back. Transporter 3, Yes Man, Ip Man

5) Hanging out with my parents to various places...TTDI, Curve...

6) Eating fried chicken and chor dai dee with Edwin, Sid, & Yao Huang

7) Hanging at Mac'ds just to eat ice-cream and Chor Dai Dee

8) Going to Kev's uni for BBQ party and to know more people...

9) A wonderful countdown at Ampang Lookout Point

10) Last bt not least, keep in touch with all my friends!

Till then, wish u all the best in life. Do drop me an sms/call when you're free haha. Take care!

Meet up before I leave?

Looks like it's time to say goodbye...soon? Lol, goodbye for 2 weeks and I'm back for CNY. Haha. Woke up at 7.50am today. Sms-ed Alyssa to make sure she's awake, cause if not, habis. My katil will tarik me balik. Picked her up and went for breakfast at Asia Cafe. The funny part is, so lil stalls open. We're like wondering...Did we come too early??

Photobucket

It was cool. Keep in touch with her and things in USJ 4. Although I left my high-school already, I don't mind hearing stories/incidents that happen in their time. Later, went home and onlined for a while before leaving to Jaya Square. While I was driving on Federal, there were 4 cars sandwitched together on the other side. Kids were injured. I managed to have a quick glance before looking infront again.

Bought my Uni book in University Bookstore. Drive as fast as I could, SAFE! back to Subang and to Pyramid. Was rushing cause I had an appointment with Jenny. Life is just so hectic! Ate in some restaurant called Ajisen Ramen. Food, ok ni la. Still can makan haha. Drove back home around 3.30pm.

Lecturer throwed me a presentation on 3 topics since I didn't attend his first class. Assignment came the night after countdown. Screwed it!!! @#$%*&$#@!!!! So yeah, whole evening doing assignment.

At night, went to Curve for a drink. Ended up in Paddington House of Pancakes. Gosh, the pancakes are freaking GOOD! I mean REAL GOOD! Price, woohoo GOOD! Once a while, so it's still affordable.

Countdown 2009

Finally, things are getting back on track. Since it's a long story, I'll summarize it like a plot alright. Morning, just Cybercafe at RockCafe, behind Monash.

Photobucket

Photobucket

The Beginning:

- Left the house at 6.30pm. Yeah, federal highway started jamming like mad.
- The cafe called us up whether we're still coming or not.
- Reach dere about 7.55pm. I ran uphill. Reached at 8.00pm sharp. Waiter brought us to our tables.

Conflict:

Photobucket

- Had some discussions with the waiter. "Why did our seats changed?", "Our tables were prebooked ytd", "Can I see yr supervisior plz?"

- Gave us a table, not happy. "Nono, ytd he told us that upstairs is open", "We came all the way here to book ok!", "What happen? It's diff from yesterday! "I want your supervisor now!"

- Waiter brought us to the manager. Discuss abit here and dere. He apologizes. I told him whether he could give me the tables near the sides, since we could see the whole of K.L. He said yes.

- Prices of food had rise. RM23 becomes RM88++. The menu was totally changed. Didn't know, so decided to browse a few cafe's around the area. Group of adults behind us were complaining too haha.

Climax:

Photobucket

Photobucket

- Had a place in Look Out Point cafe after 20mins. Places for 4 of us. Syekit, Sidarth, Me and Jessica. Prices here are more reasonable. Less then RM30 for all Special Combo meals. Way more affordable.

- We had a strategic place as well. Near the sides. Could see the whole K.L from here. Looks like things went pretty well at last.

Photobucket

Photobucket

- Had our full meal, mocha, then chor dai dee while we're waiting for fireworks. Had some food on the table to hold it, or else we'll have to leave. Sad huh?

- 5...4...3...2...1...!!!! 12.01am strikes! Crowd goes mad. Fireworks went off. Kuala Lumpur looks so nice, with fireworks every angle. K.L Tower & KLCC fireworks went off at 12.07am. Not synchronize!

The Epilogue:

- Fireworks end at 12.15am. Kevin & Aidil came, sad that they missed out. Kevin was sweating as he had to run uphill about 1km.

Jam at 12.00am++

Photobucket

- Went to some tower for sightseeing. Left about 1.45a.m. Roads are less jam than they're at 12.20am. Mamak at Nainas and home sweet home at 4.00am.
