I lost 80% of my life...

This happen yesterday when I was about to reformat my computer due to software problems and file complexity. Just wanted to format my whole C drive since several tumbdrive virus ate one of the running programs in Windows. An error message pops out every time Windows boots. So, while I was formatting the C drive (known as Local Disk/your Operating System partition), I did not know that Linux will play around with the partition. So, basically if u did not go through proper procedures while formatting Windows with Linux in it, you'll format your whole hardisk by accident, and thats what happens to me.

I realize it once the Windows was installed on the same partition which is C. As Windows boots, I was shocked that the whole E partition was not in there. So, here's what I losts in that so called "fatal accident"

1) My pictures starting from year 2008-2009. Every single one of them

2) UniMAP files, includes my previous semesters syllabus and assignments. Erased starting from the 1st day I entered UniMAP

3) My whole UniMAP Ragnarok Online server that I've set up for almost a month. All data, items, players information are completely gone. Worst, even the guides and FAQs I made myself are completely gone...

4) Music files (MP3 and all). I don't really care about them as it can be downloaded anytime...

5) Need for Speed Most Wanted. I completed 63/67 challenge modes. 4 more and I'm done. Gone as well.

That's all to it. If someone could tell me how to recover all my files completely, I'll pay them RM50 bucks. Even more if the data are in good condition. Currently, I'm using Easeus Data Recovery to regain all my lost data. Sad to say, all of it...are broken, distorted and small in size. Haihz, I'm losing hope...

Semester 4 - Completed!

Finally I'm back! Lolz. Been waiting for this moment for about few weeks ago. Thank goodness it's just one semester left. After that, Internship! Woohoo! I'll be around Subang for about a month. Maybe less if I have to go back to uni for the orientation week since I'm involved.

Final exam has passed, so as for camp PPMS (It's freaking Pembantu Pelajar Minggu SuaiKenal) and not Pre Pre Menstrual Sindrome dammit! Plz bare in mind haha. I'll elaborate on my final exams 1st, then PPMS and lastly my few days back in Subang alright. So how was finals? Great? Fantastic? Answer: Close to death! Thanks to Microcontroller 1. As for other subjects, it was pretty ok. Well, hope I'll be able to maintain my pointer for this sem.

Papers:

1) Data Communication and Network
Basically, this subject focuses on how digital data are being transferred through the 7 OSI layers. It's like a message being passed through from one computer (node) to another bt requires addition of bits (addition of unnecessary data) into the original data. This purpose is simply for error detection and correction. So, it's simply the understanding of how bridges, routers, gateways, message passing and all. One of my fav subjects haha.

2) Operating System Principle
This subject mainly emphasizes on how Operating System works. As an example, you're on Windows XP/Vista. So, we study about what are the programs used in that O.S to solve certain problems. Problems such as Deadlock (commonly known as Hang), how to solve it. When two programs needs to use the Physical Memory (Your RAM), how its resource is being distributed and how is it being passed on to another process and more. O.S used fr this subject is Linux.

3) Computer System & Architecture
As for this subject, we learned about how computer system works such as RAM, Bus, I/O, CPU, and more. Let's put it this way. It is the study of how components of computers are related to each other. Pretty fun as we're learning a new programming language which is known as VHDL using Quartus II. These language helps us to design the basic components of the computer.

4) Database System
We are exposed to SQL queries in order to retrive data which are stored in databases. This subject exposes us on how data is stored in modern computers. Involve MySQL database. Pretty fun subject as the queries are based on simple english language that can be easily remembered. One of my fav subjects too.

5) Microcontroller 1
And last but not the least, toughest of all, crazy subject, siao-lang punya lecturer...Micro.C.
So what is this Micro.c thingy? Microcontroller is an integrated circuit or commonly known as IC which is used in embedded systems to perform one task and one task only. As an example, a mouse. A mouse is to simply retrive instructions from the user by moving the cursor and sending information to the processor. One hell of a subject since the lecturer requires us to mastered each instruction & functions.

One must be able to understand Why, When, Which, What and Where to apply the instruction to master the whole subject. Cool? This subject mainly uses Assembly Language like MOV, XCHD, SWAP, RR and more. We learned how to program the 8051 (Micro.c chip developed by Intel) for various applications such as the Universal Countdown Timer, Sensor Detector, and more. 4/7 questions in the finals are real applications which is abt 20marks each? Believe it?! Haha!

The moment I step into this camp on the 1st day, I felt so grateful and thankful. Why is that so? Mainly because of the food, toilet and all...close to 3 stars. We had clean water to bath and drink. We had so much food to cook, that the supplies were enough to lasts for about a week. What a blessing! Thank God! This camp emphasizes on Team Building since all of us have to work together to conduct the orientation for the next intake. Activities include self-cooking, obstacle course, water confident, and more. Our Student Council was great as well, as all activities went smooth sailing all the way. Good job! Overall, I would give a 9/10 rating for this PPMS camp phase 2. Perfect~~
