This post may be a little too late, but it's never too late! It's like the best countdown I've ever celebrated since maybe 4 years back? How does it feels like to countdown at the beautiful beach of Pantai Cenang with a bunch of great friends? One word describe it all - Awesome =)

There's something special about this day other than the Langkawi trip. You know who you are :)

The Cilaka Family departs to the Langkawi Jetty at Kuala Perlis. Basically, there are lots of counters there for you to purchase the tickets. To be on the safe side, especially when everyone is heading to Langkawi for the new year...do drop by the counters the day before to purchase your tix.

The ferry is fully air-conditioned. Sad to say, you can't go outside to catch the beautiful scenery as you approach the Langkawi Island. What can you do? Sleep, eat junk food or else watch TV. The journey is approximately 35-40minutes. You should get all the rest you need :)

Upon arrival, we took the Toyota Hiace and head towards the closest MacD we can find around Port Kuah. This Toyota Hiace fits frigging 14 pax! You gotta rent this vehicle if you're going with a huge group like mine.

Stayed in the Grand Beach Motel at Pantai Cenang. The hotel is good, only thing is that there's no room service for it. Cacat. But I couldn't ask for more at the price of RM150 for 2 queen size beds and air-conditioned. Location of the Motel - perfect! The Pantai Cenang beach is right behind the Motel itself so yeah, I do recommend this Motel if you're on a budget trip to Langkawi. Save the money and spend on booze is indeed a better idea.

Had dinner at Pantai Cenang. The girls were all well dressed up + makeup. The guys too! Beach theme I would say. The thing about this Cilaka family is that we do dressed up on occasions. If it's a party, then most prolly the guys will be on shirts and the girls on dresses. Stylish aren't we?

Countdown 2011 celebration @Pantai Cenang was the bomb! Fireworks from at least 3 parts of the beach with lanterns being lighted and lifted up the sky. To me, it looks similar to the scenery in Rapunzel seriously. Everyone was cheering but sad to say, there no countdown like "5, 4, 3, 2, 1,0!!!". It's a frigging countdown so where is it?! We had wine + Bacardi Apple. I know its a bad combination but heck, just do it. Hahaha, I wonder how many of them passed out that night. People, please be cautious at the beach ok! Do not frigging sleep in the beach and try not to get yourself into trouble if you're just not good with alcohol. There's tourists everywhere and you may not know what's gonna happen to you until you find out the next morning.

Heh, I still remembered the morning so clearly. Drunken people waking up and asking the sober ones about what happen to them and etc... Me, on the other hand was just keeping quiet because I knew what happened. That's the best part of knowing your limits and keeping your close companions near to you. But I was so damn tired, so I just sleep and let the rest continue with the conversation.

Morning itself, we head for some simple breakfast nearby Pantai Cenang area. One thing, you don't have to worry about food here alright. Just walk out of your motel and there! Row of shop lots, cafeterias, boutiques and restaurants! After that, the Cilaka family decided to head to the famous "7 wells waterfall". The waterfall is like so high and beautiful. I have no idea how clean it is but the scenery is splendid! Water temperature is just nice for a dip/swim. You have to visit this place by all means!

After that, we head towards the "Oriental Village" nearby the "7 wells of waterfall". So what do we have there? Loads of souvenir shops, artistic handicrafts and the cable car. Wanted to take the cable car but it was so jam packed. Thought of trying our luck the following day but shyte happens hahaha. One thing, the Straw Hats here are a little expensive compared to the ones sold at Pantai Cenang, so think twice before purchasing.

In the evening, some of us played volleyball at Pantai Cenang. It's been a while since I had the chance to freely dive and dig the ball. Awesome! Next, we changed our volleyball to beach footsal instead! Teddy was being so excited and all, started kicking the ball damn hard lol. Adam was screaming for ball, and so as for Rong Ze trying to pass the ball to Adam and I while we are being distracted by Yee Lin and Samantha. I never thought Yee Lin would marked me so hard that she frigging stole the ball when it came to me. Anyways, I scored 2 goals. One of it is an own goal and I'm damn proud of it... wait wait. The verdict?

At night, we had a surprised birthday celebration for Sherlyn, Adam's gf. Here are the job assignments for those who did the beach birthday cake. Credits to others as well for helping out.

It's funny to hear Melody and Ah Hong arguing about who's gonna make the cake for their birthday. It's like both of them wanna win, neither one is gonna give in. Hahaha. So I told Melody, come on your boy is gonna give u a great one too no worries. Later, we went back to the Motel for some party games. "Heart Attack" was the bomb! Adam Phang was losing like frigging 5 times straight and I enjoyed seeing him drinking all the Bacardi by himself hahaha. Once u start drinking...ahh memang gone la. Your movements are gonna slow down and you gonna go kaboom!

Marks the end of our trip in Langkawi island. We got ourselves into a small accident - self inflicted. So yeah, nid to get it done asap before passing it back to the owner. So what did we do? Well, just lepak around the Pantai Cenang area searching for souvenirs, stuffs, and etc. Last minute shopping anyone? Oh ya, we bought chocolates too! Kisses, After 8, and many more others. When it comes to liquor, we have frigging 12 liters to bring across to Perlis! I regret for purchasing only one bottle of Chivas. Maybe I was thinking about overspending and all...lol. I should have gotten myself Mint Baileys and Bacardi Lemon. Gahhh!!! I'll get it next round then :D

Resolutions Year 2010 - Review

Enriched oneself with knowledge. Relationship, fashion, technology, field of study and etc... [Completed]
Character. The tongue, appearance, posture and attitude [Completed]
Building communication breaking boundaries [Completed]
Be myself. Potraying an image of oneself that is a lie is as bad as not ticking one's ticklist [Completed]
Balancing out time for Family & Friends. Parents are of highest priority![50%Completed]
Continue to be faithful with God. Prayer + Quiet time[20% completed]
21 years old. It's time to build up some muscles to look like my age [50% Completed]
Live up to all 8 resolutions till the end of 2010 [Did my best :)]

Year 2010 has been a fruitful year. It is one of my most productive year, with loads of experience gained and self improvements. Been able to live up to most of it gives me the motivation to continue doing what's working correctly for myself. It's took me so long to realize that all these while, my efforts of self improvements was for the wrong reasons and the wrong approach. But this time, I knew that self improvements are always for your own self and not for anyone else. When you changed the way you think, you will change the way of approaching different situations and understanding them well enough.

What more can I say? I met a bunch of great friends from Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP). The dance itself turn out to be so much more other than just performance then end of story. We gathered together and made the Cilaka Family. We hang out, chill and we never fail to put a smile on everyone's face. Do you know how hard it is to actually find a bunch of friends who you can put your trust on + going crazy with you? Really difficult! I am proud to say that I really enjoy my uni life right now =)

What I've learned:

Make things happen. Nothing good comes into your door step without any effort
Have passion in your work. When you love what you're doing, you will do the best
Discipline brings the best results in the long run. You may not see the results right away, but you definitely know that you're heading in the right direction
Honor your parents for they have been supporting you since birth
Learn to leave your pain behind. You will never know that someone's special is right beside you but you were in pain till you forget what's good around you. Pain causes you to stay in your emotional state that you subconsciously neglect most of the positive things
Change the way you do things if you keep falling into the same mistake. If Step 10 doesn't get you there, try Step 20 instead. Do things that work!
Remain in the state of self-control. When you lose your sense of control, you screw things up. Stop, take a deep breathe and look back again before you make your next move
Be a man of your words. Trust is something that you gain, not something you can buy. When you learn to take responsibility, people will know what type of person you are

The Cilaka Family

The "Cilaka" was formed by UniMAP dance performance group, in which we decided to combined it into one happy family, a place we can finally call home. Originally, the group is divided into two known as the Senior and Junior Dance group. Senior dance group consists of Melody, Lun, Teddy, BJ and Kelvin where else the Junior dance group consists of Yee Lin, Danielle, Amanda, Christine, Li Ting, Marcus, Ah Fook, Adam and Rong Ze. Our aim is to perform the modern dance for Pesta Tanglung UniMAP 2010. Senior dance was a combination of multiple songs with its own choreography. Junior dance was "Sorry,sorry - SuJu", "Gee - SNSD", "Cabi-cabi - 2PM + SNSD".

Both performance was the highlight of the event, marking it's best performance since few years back. Amazingly, we did better in comparison to UUM's Pesta Tanglung performance. Now UUM students, don't come flaming my blog ok. It's just my rough view based on what others think and experience in both UniMAP and UUM PT.

So, where in the world did "Cilaka" came from? Basically, it all came from the one and only Lady Gaga of UniMAP - Chia Ling. Since her favorite line is "Cilaka la you"... and Cilaka sounds cool, hence the family was named Cilaka ever since. The Cilaka Family has a few titles nominated by it's own members.

Yee Lin a.k.a. "Mommy". She was nominated as "Sokkest" and remains as number 1 in our Top 3 beautiful girls in Cilaka. Stay pretty alright and pray that you won't get any wrinkles.
Melody a.k.a "Sooker" and she's number 2 in our list. I cant help but to sing "Shawty's like a Melody" when I bumped into her. It's like my Ipod stuck on Replay, replay... One advice - stay cute and short!
Amanda a.k.a "Sook". Guys go crazy over this girl. Though she's the youngest and stands at number 3, she's someone you don't wanna mess with.

As for the rest, just be patient until we find a title that best matches your personality and attitude. The family continues to grow when Melody finds her man, CKH! Congratulations to Melody and may you live happily ever after. The original members of Cilaka has extended to 14 members, with Chia Ling and CKH coming in. The biggest and most happening party ever held by us is the farewell dance party @My Cafe and Kuala Perlis.

UniMAP turned road trip

I decided to head back to UniMAP since I have not been able to study. But this round, the trip there was a total different experience. Teddy wanted to hop into my car. Cool! So, that leaves three of the cilaka family members heading north which is Teddy, Melody and myself. Trip to Ipoh itself was crazy. Stopped by some kopitiam to have the Original Old Town Coffee, Famous Egg Tarts, Toasted bread, Pao's and Fried Kuey Teow. I was really stuffed but satisfied. Sad thing, I got my very first ticket since I did not park at the parking spot. First ticket ever in 4 years omg...rosak

Teddy, Melody and I went to the Majlis Perbandaran Ipoh to settle the saman. From RM40 turned RM20. Not so bad after all. But wth man, I'm a tourist dammit! I dun deserve a damn ticket for my first visit after so many years hahaha. Noting the fact that I will be passing Penang, I might as well drop by Yee Lin's place. She could bring me around town for some great food!

Reached Penang and went to Bukit Mertajam to pick up Kai Er and Yee Lin. They brought us around for good food in the mainland:

Rojak - Lol, funny thing is that most of them don't eat rojak. Gila sesat haha!
"Ohh pui" - I don't know how to spell this crap but it sure taste so good and appetizing. I'm getting my hands on one of those at the end of November.
Mee Rebus - Seriously, not bad compared to the Kangar failed gila babi sial.
Steamboat, Hokkien Mee and Sang Mee (similiar to our cantonese ying yang style)
Peanut Iced drink - Omg the moment I tasted this, it's like damn blardy awesome. You could feel the richness of the peanut + it's blended well with ice. *Nom nom*

Was kinda worn out at the end of the day, but nevertheless the fun and smiles I get from everyone and myself was worth it all. Special thanks to Yee Lin and Kai Er for bringing us around. Now that I have my car in Perlis, I can now finally execute most of my plans that I've planned months ago...

Dance Performance

It's been about 4 years since I last performed in front of a crowd back in Kem PLKN Princess Haliza. Always wanted to dance hip hop, popping, robotic and etc but was never given a chance to do so. But this time in UniMAP, I was introduce to a group of dancers consisting of 2nd and 4th year students. Group was great, people were awesome and we have not much communication problem although I dun frigging speak chinese for some reasons.

Took us 1 month ++ to prepare for the dance. Choreographing & synchronizing the dance wasn't easy at all. In fact, it was way more difficult than expected. Not to mentioned we had only 4 members in comparison to the 'Super Junior' group that has 13 members. It's already difficult with 4 members, I can't imagine having 13 ><.

We performed 'Sorry sorry by Super Junior' and 'Cabi-cabi by SNSD & 2PM' dance for Pesta Tanglung. After the performance, it felt really uneasy... and I had no idea why. After 2 days looking back at the video and comments that I received, I finally realize what was wrong...

The dance wasn't all that good. I know I didn't performed well that night. I seriously knew it and my instincts have been serving me right..
Though comments that I get stating that the performance was good/awesome/bomb, I knew it was the opposite. Not trying to say that people are making false statements/compliments but that's how I perceived it. Appreciate the compliments though but only if it hits the spot (in which I performed extremely well) haihz...

UniMAP phase 2 - Degree Programme

Education:

The Marcus has proceeded with his degree in Computer Engineering at Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP). He did much trying to get himself out from that university but guess things didn't work out the way it should be. Considering the fact that he could not afford to study in private uni, life goes on. To secure a place in a local university is indeed difficult. What more when one could not afford to further his studies in private universities but was giving a chance to do it in a local uni? He could only afford to gamble his first choice - UTM, but not his second because he has anticipated that if one is to gamble his/her 2nd choice for local university when it comes to application, most probably he would not be getting any.

Health:

He has lost about 3-4kg's since he left Subang Jaya. Once he stops working out, the Marcus begins to lose his additional muscle gains he worked so hard for the past 3 months. He has no other choice but to watch his diet, perform regular workouts and try to stay healthy.

Campus life:

The current hostel he's staying in is pretty much okay for now. Although the toilet is extremely small, he manage to wash his clothes and do whatever is necessary. He's been use to this kind of environment and condition already. Perhaps, he's just immune to it after much struggle.

Relationships:

When it comes to love, I guess he's much torn in between of being nice and the other. Pain has much taken it's toll on his life. He is not lost, nor he is unsure of what he's doing. But I guess he's still trying to find an answer for himself. He has been reading a lot, trying to find a solution to his mistakes in the past. The solution came to him, and the "doctor" suggests that 'Nice guys always finishes last' and you can't do a damn thing about it.

The doctor says that the reason why he's heart was broken many times is because he was being such a wuss, clingy and too nice to his girls. He is a wuss, and that word 'Wuss' has been a constant reminder in his life. For all the good reasons, the Marcus wanted a change and change has been made into his life little by little. Guess it's time for him to be a real man...what a real man should really do...

I'm done

Well, it has been 3 months ++ since I first started my hols in mid April. I did most of what I wanted to do and achieve this year. The 3 months of my life has been really interesting. My aim was mainly on personal development with priorities as stated below.

Gym for 4 months with full dedication. That includes diet, waking up early for breakfast, 4x a week of training, and approximately 8 hours of sleep.
Knowledge and improvements in grammar by reading more articles, news and papers
Understanding the opposite sex and their response to our actions
Improvements in fashion, style and looks
Part time jobs with fast cash in + less working hours
Hanging out with my buddies. You know who you are :)

I am pretty much happy with what I managed to complete throughout my holidays. Well, of course the above stated are not gonna stay stagnant there when I begin my new semester. It's a long term thing, so yeah I can't stop. Not to mention that to achieve my number 1 goal takes approximately 1 year.

I will be returning to Perlis on Saturday afternoon. Accepted the offer letter from UniMAP for the time being while waiting for the Tertiary Merit Scholarship from Taylors. Chances are 50.50 now. I'm numb. I am not sad leaving Subang Jaya. I guess I'm getting used to it already.

Casey, Jamie, Siao Han and I were rounding the streets of KL in search for food. But most of them preferred fine dine instead of the usual coffee shops that is famous for their food (Jalan Alor & Jalan Tengkat Tungshin). I myself who isn't familiar with the roads in KL decides to find a place there to dine at all cost. I told them in advance that it was all gonna be random!

Stumble into the Lebanese Restaurant, Tarbush at Bukit Bintang. It is at the same row as Pavillion for your info. We have no idea what's good in this place, so I asked for their best recommendation. Remember, don't simply order! They told us that some food doesn't taste good for us Malaysians.

Of course it comes with a big price tag haha. Well, once a while + experience is really not so bad after all. Oh ya, you'll need a great company that enjoys food as well. :)

After dinner, the girls decided to take a stroll around Bukit Bintang. Snap several spontaneous, scenery, portrait, and 'modeling' pictures. Everyone was practically watching the world cup while we were busy taking pictures and randomly walking around town. Returned home when everyone is tired and lazy after much food taken haha.

Wall Climbing @Shah Alam

Organized the wall climbing activity last Saturday. It's like a must for me to have this weekend outing every week before I leave to any parts of Malaysia. Two weeks ago, Honsam, Jamie, Aidil and I went to Sungai Tekala, Semenyih for some cool body chilling water session. Ok, so here are some information that you'll need to know about this Shah Alam Extreme Park.

Operating hours: 10am - 7pm everyday. 7pm onwards for experience climbers
Contact number: 03-55101787 (Office)
Package taken: Family package (5-10 ppl)
Price: RM12/per person + RM40 for 2 instructors + 2 hours session

Those who went are Kevin, Sidharth, Aidil, Honsam, Syekit, Siao Han and I (7 in total). The calculation would be ((RM12 x 7) + RM40) / 7 = RM17.71. 18 bucks for 2 hours climb! Worth it.

Experience would be the best part of the climb. There are 3 walls for beginners. I managed to climb two walls only, cause the last one was really difficult. =.=''. Stick close to the walls and climb up as soon as you can before you start wearing out if you stay any longer on those walls. Chalk your hands too, it's free! Just ask them for chalks. Never wall climb before? This is where you should head to! :)

Went to Taylors Lakeside campus ytd for a tour after lunch with Jason and Yao Huang. Overall it was pretty good. Library was the best part of it definitely. The place was cooling and nice. Lecture hall was great, since it is equipped with centralized airconds making it even more cooling especially on a hot day.

Kandang lembu beside the campus! Lolz, that's a little "Perlis" over there. But no match when it comes to people, leisure and fun with a huge price tag. Engineering courses are almost close to RM13,000 per semester. Well, if only I was that lucky haha...

Final semester results!

For 3 years, the Marcus have managed to endure much suffering and pain in his effort of studying really hard for his papers. The only reason he is striving really hard is because of one thing - To escape UniMAP for the next 3 years of his degree programme. Nothing has ever kept him going all out.

As he was watching the computer screen loading the webpage accessing to his results, he was a little surprised to obtained a 4.00 for his Industrial Training programme which takes up 6 credit hours. Expected a 3.67 (A-), his prayers were answered. Amen to that!

Since first class honours would either be 3.67/3.75, he managed to pass both borders with an average CGPA of 3.78. He felt a sense of relieve after all those challenges he has endured as an urban kid living in a kampung area. The Marcus is really grateful to all his friends and family members that has helped, supported, and encouraged him in all aspects of his studies & life. Thank you so much :)

Reunion Trip @Genting

Day #1 - Where it all begins

Us the ex-form 6ers from SMK Seafield reunites! Ying Wai had organized this last year but I didn't make it. It's like a 'must' for him to visit Genting every year. There are 14 of us in total where we stayed in First World Hotel - 3 days 2 night. My room mates are Bryan & Jen Chong. Took us approximately 1 hour for us to check in upon arrival.

They entertained us :)

It's funny how Yew Ken requested them to sing "Sorry, sorry" by Super Junior and "Gee" by SNSD. "We can't sing korean songs" said the clowns. Haha, it's okay. You can just sing the english version of it (buffalaxed). I'll freaking drop money into your hat for sure!

Nothing much happen on the first day. Most of us were either sleeping or walking around. I was sleeping cause I took the frigging cough mixture. Word spread around so fast. It came to a point where everyone was just coming to me and saying "Hey, you sleep sleep only ah whole evening!". Haha, look I can't help it. I was unwell but thank goodness I didn't allow it to ruin my whole trip.

Day #2 - The Climax

Had breakfast early in the morning with the gang. Something really funny happen! I know it's a little difficult to differentiate between sugar and salt, but nothing beats the one and only man who took pepper instead of creamer for his coffee. Here's our winner, Mr. Pang UKen!!!

Alright, so here is how it all happened:

Our friend put two packets of "sugar" into his coffee without realizing it!
Next, he put in his "creamer". Guess what? He even told us this "Eh, why the creamer black colour?, ahh dun care la". HAHAHA
Once the recipe is completed, the dude decided to have a taste of his very own cocktail.
One sip of his coffee and he goes "Eeeeeuuuuu!!!, What the heck" *Take a look at the packets he threw into his coffee*. "Salt & pepper!?? #$$@%&*!!!" Hahahaha, omg all of us started laughing like there's no tomorrow

The group was then divided into two - Theme park & Random. I was with the random group cause the theme park was jam packed it seems. Played bumper car and bowling. Rest of the time, jalan jalan cari fun.

Later at night, all of us gathered and head to the arcade. I personally think that the only fun thing in the arcade is the basketball and punching game. After that, some of us wanted to try our luck entering the casino. The successful ones were Wai Kit, Ken Nie, Shao Li and finally Ying Wai. If you asked me about the ones who didn't make it through, this is it.

It's depressing :(

Ditched, thrown aside and so called "Kids waiting for parents to come out of casino", we waited patiently for our friends to get out of the casino. There's also one thing funny about Vivek and Yew Ken. Yew Ken tried to sneak in with Vivek but the guard stopped Vivek instead and ask him for his PASSPORT!!! I think Yew Ken kantoi-ed later but guess he slipped through the first guard. It looks as if Vivek was an immigrant Zzz damn babi man those guards hahaha

Something evil happen! This round, See Ya-Pei the innocent girl crushed a moth with her foot accidentally. The poor moth was white in color and was regarded as a paper by some =.=''. Yew Ken wasn't happy, so he decided to say a little prayer for the moth while speaking to Ya Pei.

Did some jump shots, chats and enjoy the cool breeze outside Genting & Highland hotel. The weather wasn't as cooling as last time anymore. But anyway, we enjoyed the company and fun we had together. Since it was our last night, some of them decided not to sleep but to Black Jack all night long till 5am.

Day #3 - The Final Chapter

I slept all the way from 5am - 11.00am. Woke up and finished up the buns I've bought 2 days ago. Later, the girls came in and we had the jumping photo shoot on the bed. Nasib baik tak kena kipas!

Since we have about 4 more hours to go before heading back to KL, the group decided play bumper car. I wasn't cornered by anyone this time. Guess what happen the day before? I was cornered by all 4 friends of mine at the same time! Stuck for about 10 secs and more. Teruk kena aim siut.

Friendship for the past 3 years and still growing!

Since it was my first time taking the Flying Coaster, I felt goosebumps all over. Pretty nice feeling since you don't get the thrill that often. It was awesome but the potong stim part was Grace laughing all the way! I was screaming like a women and she just kept on laughing =.=''. Warned by Ying Wai, proven by me.

If you look at Shao Li's expression, it's just priceless! While I was facing the camera towards her, she gave a nice sweet smile. But things get ugly when I said "I was taking video!". Hahaha! She fell for it...

Headed back home around 4.00pm. Worst part is the KTM station...as always? Though I was coughing and feeling tired, it was worth all those fun, company and joy. I'm just grateful to know each and everyone of them from SMK Seafield (2007) in just 2 months.

Karaoke session is finally here after so long. In fact, this is my first visit to Neway. All the while, RedBox RedBox and that blardy cina place jkjk. At first, I was told to pay RM6.00++ for drinks and karaoke but I think the promotion ended quite some time ago. The current price now is RM18++ with food and drinks per person.

Grace supposed to come, but she had driving lessons! So, it's just Kevin, Chen, Pek Yee, Jamie and myself. Food was okay...pass. Drinks were awesome cause most of us had 2 rounds of drinks for free. I will be needing em' so much since I practically sang almost every song that was picked in the list.

We even came across one song that we didn't even know who picked it and how it's supposed to be sang. So Kevin and I decided to follow the lyrics and sing with our own tunes and vocals. Laughing and singing like crazy. The girls were practically falling of the sofas haha!

The place was good. Songs were great. Lyrics are complete. They even have new songs on the list! It was better than I expected. What more? Super spacious and comfortable. Looks like I'm gonna stick to Neway for the time being. RM20 + 5 hours of karaoke session, what more can I ask for? :D

Telemarketing

Had been working in an event management company for 4 days. I wouldn't say that this is a telemarketing job, more like a confirmation of a certain product purchased. Basically, my job is to call 15% out of 500 over phone numbers. The purpose of the call is to ensure that the correct customer's database has been entered into the Nokia's warranty card system.

Packed with enthusiasm, my colleague and I started calling as many numbers as we could. The script is given, so just follow the script as the call proceeds. On the 1st day itself, I finished about 250 phone numbers - 3 sheets. Same thing all over again for the next few days. But on the 3rd day, I realized that I went too fast, finishing quicker than expected. 5 days duration but gonna complete in maybe 3 1/2 days? That means I'll be paid for only 3 1/2 days!!! RM70 x 3 1/2 Zzz.

The sad thing is that the company emphasizes more on duration than progression. Imagine if each and everyone of them would take their own sweet time to complete their work. How are we supposed to improved if we aren't aggressive enough? I got really disappointed that my efforts didn't pay off.

Problems:

Not much scolding or complaints throughout my work. Exclusive Telecommunications company is really bad at their database in the sense that there are repetition of phone numbers on different sheets! Imagine calling the same person 2x or more. Confirm kena marah la dei. So if I stumbled into a familiar name, I'll search for the person's number in a few sheets. It really spoils your mood when you're scolded for nothing - that's our job anyway

I still remembered this one clearly:

"Why you call so many times ah! I am not using any Nokia handphones anymore! I am using I-phone ahhh!!"

Ever since then, I made sure I look carefully as I choose the numbers which I am about to call.

Had a BBQ potluck party for Ben on Saturday. Since it's potluck, everyone should be bringing food, drinks, and etc from home right? Haha, sad to say...NO! Only few of us that actually bring stuff from home. Earlier, went to Ben's place to "surprise splash" him but failed. The guys were slow or was Ben's reaction too fast? Should have attacked him from both sides, but the bad side is that one of us is guaranteed wet! Who wants to take the risk? :D

Went out with my ex-form 6 friend today. We were supposed to go to some warehouse sale in Sunway, but it was super jam. So we decided to just lepak and window shop at Pyramid instead. Not a big gathering this round. Just the few of us which is Jamie, Jen Chong, Ying Wai, Ping Ying, Yew Ken and myself.

Jamie was able to buy most of her stuffs and so as for Ying Wai. Yew Ken tried to convince me to get a Polo-T since it costs RM50 for two. Well, I didn't get it cause I didn't like the colour combination. Looks lala on me haha. Gotta be careful with my attire, total cautious and care! This is serious.

Had dinner at Sushi King. Udon was okay, but the rest is like so-so ni la. Not as great as last time anymore. No more Sushi King! Anywhere! I prefer ZanMai though. If there's extra money in my wallet...Zen Japanese Restaurant would be my selection. Went to Cotton On...pants were overpriced and the shirts are not that nice. Found a nice shirt with military details at Kitschen. But, it costs freaking RM90!!!

We had a great time together. Lotsa laughter and fun. We even sat down at Secret Recipe and laugh for freaking 30mins or more. All of us should be able to burn some fats today. Might assist in shaping my six packs too! Lol. That's all for today. Oh crap, I need to get something for my momma...

Thoughts...they are powerful

Well, something just caught my mind lately when I read about "We must choose our thoughts". I'm just sharing what I think, and you're free to drop any comments below alright. Ever wondered how frustrating can things be? How we would be so depressed at times? How can a bitter incident affects the way we feel and act?

That sums it up by going through the following sequence. Thoughts ---> Feelings ---> Actions. If we think of depressing things, we get depressed. When we are depressed, our non-verbal actions will show them all via facial expressions or the way we respond differently. Why don't u reflect upon yourself on times like;

You would stone while thinking of what you could do to solve that relationship problem
Feel sad when you were thinking about how bad the exam went...and that you just kept quiet in a discussion when everyone else is busy chatting
Burst out in tears when you were reminded of things that got so bitter few years back

It's difficult on how we can control our thoughts. There's gotta be something we could do that distracts us from thinking of such things. Yeap there is. But it works differently for everyone. My case is I would work out, jog, hardcore gaming (not anymore), or just hang out with a couple of good friends for a great conversation. Else, maybe I'll just wonder around in the shopping mall checking out latest fashion trends and etc. You've gotta find yours too.

Control your thoughts cause they are capable of making/breaking you. Think positively and you'll act in a positive way. Think that you can do it, and eventually you'll pull through with your willpower. The key word would be "Self control". Food for thought :)

S.O.X Cheer Competition

Went to the S.O.X (School of X) cheer competition at Taylor's lakeside campus yesterday morning. Had no idea where it is until one of my friend gave my directions. Pretty easy after looking out for the banners they've set up along the road side of LDP haha. Went alone, since everyone is busy with their own stuffs. I had nothing to do, so why not support Jolene from the Electric squat?

Sat with the Electric squat of course. Jolene was there along with her cheer mates. Their uniforms are pretty nice I would say in comparison with the others. There are teams that wore polo tees, jumpers and others which are like err...it doesn't belong here?

Teams are only allowed to perform for 2.30 minutes. That's crazy fast cause I kept wondering why the cheer for each team ended so quickly. Potong stim jika dibandingkan dgn Cheer. Well, I hope I can make it for Cheer 2010 this year. Ikhwan, Vee, Leysha and Yana came later. Yana thought I missed the whole show and when I told her that I came at 10.30am...she was like O.O. Haha!

Roving Team part II

Standing for 10 hours is no fun at all. Not to mentioned that we have to face the amount of rejections and grumpy facial expressions throughout the day. Kevin urged all the roving team members to try their best in bringing and convincing people into the charity fair. My team will be different this round, with Kuan Chien and Jia Vie. Tzyy Yin was assigned to the mascot escort team.

Here's my schedule for the day

10.30am - Carrefour
12.00pm - Subang Parade/Car park viper (I'm so phobia to the whistle already)
1-2.00pm - Break

3.30pm - Mydin, Giant Subang (Giant no permission so yeah we can't give out the flyers)
6.00pm - Asia Cafe (Jia Vie didn't wanna go cause she scared she might see her friends dere! lol)
7-8.00pm - Dinner break
8.30pm - Back to 3C building

The best part is that we distribute most of it in Subang Parade and Carrefour area. Left about 500 more flyers to go for Asia Cafe and Taipan area. We went to Mydin for a moment but left after 20mins. Team A still had 1500 more flyers to go! Alright then, we shall head to Asia Cafe and finish up our last 500.

Once done, my colleagues and I went to Asia for some juices. Relaxing, had some casual conversations and getting to know each other better.

Had a great time throughout that 2 days event. The experience gained is totally priceless I would say. Get to know some of the TAR college students since most of them are from TAR! Like what? 90%? lol. Happy to know that they acknowledged me as a quarter banana. Quarter = A little chinese. I know cantonese :P. Although I did try to speak Chinese, they respond to me fully in English haha.

Oh well, RM300 for 2 days but processed in 2 months time. No problem! Most important is that the money is on stanby mode.

Roving Team part I

Love & Joy Charity Fair 2010 is to raise fund for PR4A, a support group for families with autistic children. The event is in conjunction with the United Nations’ annual Autism Awareness campaign, which falls on the entire month of April. The aim is to raise a minimum fund of RM100, 000. The money raise in this fair will be used to help the autistic children in various ways such as to build better homes, operation activities and expenses.

Day #1 – Roving Team A (2 person)

Had my usual healthy breakfast early in the morning. Went to the 3C building at 8.30am as told by my supervisor. Most of my work mates are already there. Kevin (Supervisor) brief us once again regarding our job description throughout the day. Roving Team is divided into two teams, Team A & B where each team will be assigned one male and female.

So ever wondered what does a Roving Team do?

Distribute flyers at assigned location/venue
Inform and grab visitors to visit the fair
Familiar with Subang area
Convincing skills

Tzyy Yin and I are in Team A. Our job locations will be Carrefour, Subang Parade, Sunway Pyramid, bus and KTM stations. We were unable to distribute flyers at Subang Parade – kena halau by security. Went to the car park area, kena halau 2nd time. Oh well, we went to Sunway and try our “luck”. If you realize, the event mainly targets parents with children. 80% of the crowd in Sunway Pyramid consists of teens! Imagine them taking our flyers and throwing it into the bins. Waste no? I’d rather take that whole stack and recycle it on the spot.

KTM station – we skip haha. Bus station was even worst! Out of 10 people, only 3-4 of them took our flyers. Looks like we’re going back to Carrefour and distribute them at the escalator – the best spot of all times!

Understanding that we had 4 stacks of flyers, we had to do more than just distributing one flyer for one person. One stack – 1000 flyers. 4 stacks? You do the maths!

The solution:
Give two flyers at a time. That’s the max I gave alright!
Put the flyers onto the car vipers in Carrefour. Most – 2 flyers for one car. I was kind enough...

A test was made by me to check on the amount of flyers that people would take from me.

Enhancements:

The flyer was printed on two sides, where one side shows about kids/games and etc and the other is about the artist appearance. The kids section was shown to the parents where else the artist section was shown to teens/couples.

Tzyy Yin and I successfully gave out 2 ½ of flyers – 2500 pieces. Pretty good I would say. 1 ½ more to go for the next day...

Part time jobs?

It's been almost a week since I left UniMAP. While I'm searching for part time job on asiaparttime, I'm also looking for activities that I can do throughout the holidays. It's almost the end of April, then May and June. That's another 2 more months to go. Sid and I went to Shah Alam's Extreme Park to check out the wall climbing. Price reasonable...place? Deserted! The funny part is that it supposed to be opened as described in the brochure, but nope. Entah mana pergi semua orangnya..

So could anyone offer me part time jobs? Flexible time + Weekdays would be preferable. I've gotta earn extra income or else my money will run out like running water. Call/SMS me if you have to...really appreciate it.

Went for Ninja Burger@Tropicana City yesterday night. Burger was awesome though I took only a bite. Baru makan dinner then terus Ninja Burger...zomg susah nak digest. It was my first visit to that mall btw. For all pork lovers out there, this is a place you should visit!

Well, I have about 3 more months before universities started taking me in...if there's any. That's a lot of holidays I would say. Not gonna just sleep at home and do nothing. Gonna find part time job which allows me to have flexible working hours. Though if it takes me 3 days to earn RM500 bucks, I'll definitely do it even if its 12 working hours. How long can it get? Maybe I should say whether I can tahan the pressure/workload or not haha.

Been lepaking with friends, reading, and some research about some stuffs. AskMen.com, about.com would be the two most visited sites for me now. Sad, if only I knew about this earlier...the knowledge I gain could be two fold...mebe more with a little more practice. It's history, and it's cool. The more I tumble, the more I learn :)

Life is a marathon, never a sprint. There's a lot of challenges and obstacles out dere waiting for me. So meantime, I'll equip myself with whtever I can within these 3 months of "honey moon". You will never see the Ace of Spades the same way anymore...never

UniMAP finishing school part III

Marks the last day we would lepak together. Woke up in the morning, feeling a little lethargic after much exercise the previous day. Told the gang that we must do something together today. Convince them as much as I could. At first, their plans are to head down to the library and lepak till evening. Hell no, we can so something better than that!

Bukit Air was our first destination, but it was way too crowded. No 2nd hand water ok. Gua Kelam was our only last choice. Hope it is peaceful, nice and cooling. Prayers were answered. Thank goodness. Not just that, we had an additional 2 beautiful girls with us named Amanda and Rozellia. Both from East Malaysia.

Prepared bbq for everyone. We take turns to barbecue the food of course. Fung Yih was too lazy to use the fire starter. Instead, he took the portable stove and lit up the charcoal slowly haha. Once done, we had some water activities like water gun, chasing people, and etc. The best part is to convince Amanda to get down to the waters. Kite and I had an agreement that if Rozellia gets into the water, she must do the same...and I was assigned with the job =.=''' My mission was successful after so much attempts :D

Later at night, we went to Hai Tien for seafood. Had a great time knowing each other and making jokes with the group. Kite kena the most la I would say since he's the spot light of the week. At midnight, Kite, Rozellia, Amanda and I headed to the beach for drinks and star gazing. Pretty wonderful night to end the week.

UniMAP finishing school part II

The following day, some of us went down to Alor Setar and lepak. Since it's about 2 more days before we go into our separate ways, we've decided that we should spend as much time as possible together. Went down to Parade Mall for lunch, bowling and skating. Frigging lunch is expensive as the nasi kandar sold in Kuala Lumpur macha! RM6.50 for 3 dishes... GG. Not to mentioned the ice kacang which costs me another RM3.30. Almost RM10 for lunch!

Skating? Nahh I would say roller-blading haha. It's my very first time doing this but I've told myself that it's gonna be the exact same thing as ice skating. Guess what? The whole concept applies 100%! No problem moving and speeding around like a free lance dude. RM12 per entry...so worth the experience! You will find these in Penang as well :) The best part is the whole skating ring is just us and us only. Felt so VIP like...

The most affordable and cheapest ever dinner! RM3.20 for nasi ayam + 3 more sticks of fishballs, meatballs and hotdogs. Taste normal. I couldn't ask for more with such price tag on foods. Save for the next day would be a better way to put it. Catch Clash of the Titans at 11.40pm. Rating 7/10. Medusa fight was awesome, but the frigging Kraken died way too early and fast. Damn Perseus sent Hades to hell was too quick! Potong stim la. But overall, the movie could be better...seriously!

I've been away from Subang for almost a week. Not been able to update the blog due to internet connection issues. Anyways, I'll try to summarize and make it as good as possible since this might be the last post of mine for UniMAP itself. Damn, my tears are falling. I'll first start with the activities that I had to attend for the finishing school program. It lasted for 4 days. Basically, the finishing school program prepares us to face the working environment and to develop as much soft skills as possible. Non verbal language, first impressions, dressings, writing resume, communication skills and more. It was pretty good I would say although I did sleep abit here and there due to lack of rest the night before - DotA.

My room was awesome as well. For 2 1/2 years we didn't have a chance to sleep in the 2nd room. But this round, we did! Haha, jakun it seems bt it makes a huge difference. Water pressure was alright, but the sink and toilet was abit screwed up. Damn tak berkualiti langsung. I didn't let it to bother me much since I'll be here for only a week.

The best part about this is that my room mate and I was able to pick our house mates. This is because we were only given one key for the main door and no door room key! Status "penghuni" it seems. RM3 per day. Well, there's nothing worry about when you pick the right friends to stay with you :)

The Industrial Training presentation was on Friday. Well, everything was great! Mr.Zul and his fellow panels are in good mood and yeah it ended pretty well. I guess they're all in holiday mood as well....ahha. Or should I say that they are so fed up of shooting us during our final year project presentation last semester? XD

Euphoria...was never like before

MOS...oh it's been almost a year since I last entered. Was described as the "Most budak baik punya clubbing spot" and it still remains as it is. Diluted alcohol, no smoking and etc. All of us entered for free since we've RSVP on Facebook as guest list. Owh thk goodness I didn't fork out a single cent for liquor that night haha. Rafferty and I didn't drink man and yeah we're proud of it.

Started off with musics and beats from some dj then Patrick Oliver came in. Mix tape is just weird. They frigging played "Love Story" by Taylor Swift and I was like @@!? Rafferty said something like "Eh wtf man love story in MOS"...Haha! Just damn weird. But the company was okay since there were 3 females. Got to know JyeSze and Isabelle :)

Well, I am not gonna state much complaints about MOS. Just that it has gone really really bad compared to 2 years ago when it first started. I still remembered that night clearly. Guys and girls were well dressed up. No polo/tees were allowed...and weird people! Ratio between males and females are pretty almost the same. Simply great. Oh well, MOS bukan tempat kita lagi rasanya. Time to head back down to Heritage Row, Zouk and etc...

Returns to UniMAP

Looks like it's time for me to head back to UniMAP after so long. Heh, time flies. I still can't believe the fact that I've spent 4 months already in Subang Jaya. Doesn't feels like it. But neways, I'm pretty much satisfied with what I've achieved throughout that 4 months. Health, body, knowledge, and etc sums it up. Though there we several dramas happened between a friend and I, but we managed to sort it out maturely.

Departing tomorrow at 10.15am (Jalan Duta bus station) and most probably I'll be reaching around 6pm at Kuala Perlis. If I'm damn semangat means I'll be heading to the Kangar to get some nice food and meet up with my course mates and friends. If not, I'll stay at home and unpack my luggage and stuffs.

I had plans to have drinking session with Siao Han for quite some time ago. But sad to say, it never happen. So after much procrastination, she decided to make it happen. There were supposed to be about 8 girls from her side and 3 guys from mine. That's a total of 11-12 people for the night at Library at e@Curve. My guy friends and I left at 9.30pm. Thank goodness there was no jam at Federal to LDP.

Once there, we ordered 2 jugs of Carlsberg (RM78/=) for a start. Damn the waitress gave me that "look" when I told that we're gonna start off with beer 1st then later liquor...Zzz. Had 3 mugs down and I was pretty red and tipsy a little. Took my Pentax camera and started snapping a few pictures to blog about...and never thought it would be the last time I'm taking it...

I've waited for about an hour for them to arrive. It's beginning to "boil" cause I never expect to wait for someone that long. But well, it's all good when they arrived. Syekit, Sid and Raff were great companions and in fact we did enjoy ourselves in Library alone watching Chelsea trashing Aston Villa lolz.

When they arrived, we headed straight to Laundry bar. Drinks were pretty reasonable for my case since I didn't drink much. Had a few sips of Flaming Lamborghini which costs around RM30. That sums it up to RM38.20 for my night...pretty good :) Meet a couple of new friends as well;

Due to my carelessness/unawareness, I personally think I got pick pocketed when I left the dance floor. Felt so different until I realized that my digital camera is completely gone from my back pocket. Searched around the area in hopes that it might just slipped off but sad it was no where to be found. Internship completed!

Well, so it's been 16 weeks since I started my Internship in Computer Protocol. I still can't believe the fact that I'm done! Maybe I was having so much fun at my industrial training till I lost track of time. Of course I did learn something new in despite of all the Facebook-ing and YouTube videos I watched. Report completion is at 95%. Just need to check for grammatical errors and any useful information I missed out. Pretty good for now :)

Had lunch with my fellow colleagues in LowYat plaza. Wanted to treat them lunch but sadly I'm kinda broke. Like seriously! So if you would like to know about my funds and expenditure, here it is.

RM300 per month - For food expenses. 1 day RM10 inclusive of breakfast and lunch in KL!
RM300 - It was necessary. Dun ask why.

With RM300 bucks going into food, I'm left with about RM100++ per month excluding all those outings, mamak sessions and drinks. So, please refrain from thinking that I'm loaded with my internship allowance.

Time flies. Damn I couldn't imagine that it's been about 4 months since I last came back in December. Life has been pretty awesome. In fact, it's kinda enjoyable compared to the few years I stayed in UniMAP. The experience and joy gained in Kuala Lumpur is simply indescribable. Well, for some it might not be as fun as I mentioned because of the assignments and work load given by their supervisor.

Emotional? Haha, let's hope not. It strikes really hard especially when I had to return to Perlis. Else, I'll be emo about the not-enough-time I have in Subang and start pondering about what I could do with the time given. My body is thanking me little by little. Hope I'm not overdoing it till it begins to fail.

Have not been updating the blog for the past few days since I have nothing much in mind. Was busy finishing up my Industrial Training report before I head back to UniMAP. Internship ending this Friday! I'm free from Saturday onwards till the 29th... Hope there would be lotsa cool plans ahead :D

Plan to get some nice food in KL area? Pretty expensive don't you think so? What about those in Jalan Tengkat Tungshin and Jalan Alor? Well, since it's a tourist attraction area, don't expect it to be cheap. All food will costs roughly RM4.50++ Wait a minute...there's too much food wth which is nice?

Shut up la haha! Let's try the Mun Wah Hokkien Mee then. "Tak perlu pilih banyak sangat". It's located right after the T-junction at Jalan Pudu. Alright, to make life easier:

From Jalan Pudu, go all the way straight. Don't frigging take left or else you'll head straight to Federal/PJ area.
Just keep right or the middle lane until you approach a T-junction. Remember Dewan Bahasa & Pustaka? Yes, before it.
At the T-junction, take the right turn and look for this shop on your left. Slow down after the right turn and stay on left lane in search for a car park.

Sales are on! Mom and sis was in KL around 4.30pm. Parked at Lot10 and walk over to Pavillion. Hmmp, I wanted to meet them up since I have no where else to go after work. Talking about work, I've been busy completing my final year report for my industrial training. At 5pm, I walk over to Pavillion in search for my family members.

Just so you know, Parkson and Tangs are having sales. They're items are pretty affordable now since it's like 20-80% discount. You could get a Puma shorts for RM22 (Ori price: RM120). I got myself 3 pairs of Hush Puppies low cut socks (Price: RM20) and one V-neck cotton white shirt. Well, told mum that the price tag for my clothes will be roughly less than RM50. She goes... :) Dammit lolz.

Anyways, gtg get some nice outfits after my industrial training. Who's up for shopping? I know it sounds gay but **** I dun care. I'm driving! So, if you wanna tag along means JOM!

Weather or Climate

Ever wondered what's the difference between weather and climate? Well, weather covers only a small location e.g state where else climate covers a huge area/region e.g part of Australia's continent. For our case now, I personally think that it has something to do with the weather...hopefully. If it's climate change, most of us are gonna suffer especially the elders. Try not to on the air-cond too often. Aircond = Use of energy. Power plant = Need to burn more fossils to generate more energy = More heat released into the atmosphere = Green house effect = Global warming.
Stop open burning. I'm seeing some of my neighbors burning rubbish/dried leaves. It's already so hot so please do not worsen the situation

Hot day it was. Death we almost come to. So freaking hot that I didn't wanna go out for lunch. It's like the sun's rays are absorbing your fluids directly from your pores. Could feel that little 'chill' when I came out from the car after work. Gosh it was just damn bad...

Sidharth drove Syekit, Yao Huang and I around Subang throughout the afternoon. Went for lunch at Summit - Mandy's. Ordered Chicken Teriyaki with Mushroom rice or something like that. Haha, sorry for the unspecificness. Wanted to catch a movie, but nahh none of the movies came into interest. I dun mind Percy Jackson & The Lightning Thief though...

In 2 weeks time, I'll be finishing my industrial training at Computer Protocol. To be exact, it's on the 19th March. One of my seniors, Savisha asked whether I could teach her VHDL or not. VHDL stands for Very High Speed Hardware Description Language. Like C programming, it has it's own syntax. It's mostly used for logic design (combination of Gates like NOR, AND) and etc. Had to refresh a little but was so not confident in teaching cause I forget most of it. Meet up in Westin Hotel then went for lunch around bintang walk area.

Had diarrhoea for the past 2 days. Damn HL Milk, haihz. Suffer like crazy when you don't obey simple instructions like 'Do not consume if seal is broken'. It happens like this:

The bottle of HL Milk was not sealed. So, I wanted to taste the contents to verify that it has really gone bad. Taste only!
Before I gulp it down, the milk taste was fine. It's like any other milk with no sour/funny taste. Since it seems alright, drink ni la!
As a result, the following day I diarrhoea. So basically, the milk contents has gone bad even if it doesn't have the sour taste.

Lesson to learn:
When they say 'Don't consume if seal is broken', they really mean it... :(

Gaming life - How it ended

It's been years since I played computer games. They were my 'best mates' most of the time especially during primary - high school. I would rush back home just to complete my campaign or to day dream about how I could come up with a strategy which would allow me to pass this level. So how long have I been playing? Let's say about 9 years? One of the earliest games I played was:

The 1st Red Alert game

When it comes to online gaming, Ragnarok Online was my very 1st MMORPG that I enjoyed most. Malaysia's server (Iris) was the main server hosting players across Malaysia. There were about 1000 players during my time and back then it was free. One of my best friends introduced me to it. Allow me to explain my experience in R.O. I would -

Spend approximately 6 hours of gaming everyday just to level up
Play both servers (Iris & Sakray) for the fun of it
Sneak out to the cybercafe at 12.00am - 6am in the morning
Sacrifice sleep so I could train my character & hunt for items
Throw RM9.00 for 3 hours of gaming in Cafes like Inferno/Global Net - SS15

When R.O started charging its players with prepaid cards, I moved on to other alternative computer games such as Red Alert, Hercules, Seven Kingdoms or my PS1 games like Final Fantasy 9, Crash Team Racing, Twisted Metal, Digimon World and etc... Health was affected, studies were pretty screwed up & I could not concentrate in class. Couldn't care less since I was an addict without notice...

Final Fantasy IX - Zidane Tribal

In high school, I was still gaming. It was another era where I would game because I love the companionship + addiction. Games such as DotA, Warcraft & Counter Strike were still the hottest in year 2003. When it comes to DotA, BlueServer was the best game hosting server of all times. Just download the client and you're ready to play with your friends online. My 1st char was Drow Ranger, followed by Bone Clinx. I was still an addict, spending approximately 8 hours on Blue Server just to get rid of my noobness. "**** you! You wait la, I'll pawn you in 3 months time" lolz.

Thinking that R.O would be the end of my MMORPG, private servers from around the world have already developed their very own private servers. That's when I started R.O all over again from scratch. XileRO was one of my longest server ever played since year 2003. The commitment wasn't there...and hence the not-so-strong characters of mine. The server is located in California. So if there would be any W.O.E (War of Emperium), I would wake up at 4am just to assist my guildmates.

Realized how much time I've invested in games, I decided to take charge of my life. Knowing that games would not bring me further in life. Therefore, I decided to stop them one at a time. Starting off with R.O - A server which I've configured myself for UniMAP, and slowly moving into DotA and C.S. Till now, I've successfully stopped the addiction of playing DotA and Counter Strike. Worst, the only game I play now is L4D2.

There is more to life than just gaming. What happens if I become a professional gamer? What could I achieve by having all characters of level 255? What's so great about pawning everyone on the battlefield and boasting about it? Nothing. Simply to feed my ego is something I'm not willing to sacrifice for the rest of my life. To game as a hobby is good, but to spend hours on it is so not worth the price you're gonna pay.

Reasons to stop:

Spend more time in improving oneself
Time waits for no man. Spend it on gaining knowledge/experience which can be put to life such as reading or experimenting.
Have a healthy life. No addiction = Sleep early = Healthy life + love your liver

I am not implying that you should 100% stop gaming because it brings no life benefits to you. What I'm trying to say is that you shouldn't spend so much time on it/become an addict.

Signs of addiction:

Taking your food to your computer & multitask
Ignore help needed by others. "I'm gaming...later dude!"
The moment you wake up, 1st thing 1st - Game!
As you sleep, you think about strategy, ways, solution for your characters
Playing after 2am. You should be sleeping else lethargic following day
You asked your parents to 'tapao' food for you while you're busy playing

Some might think that "Owh I have a passion for gaming. I love it, and who cares? I enjoy doing things I love most". If gaming is all that you dream of in life, then so be it. You have your say. You determine the way you wanna live your life...no one else does. Ask yourself one question. What is your testimonial to your grandchildren/friends in years to come by? End of the day, I suggest that we gamers should be a healthy gamer. Know your limits, balance time between friends and virtual ones, and most important of all...family. The clock is ticking...

Been sleeping for the past 2 days. Was so darn tired and I didn't had enough sleep cause I was hanging out with Sidharth and all. Edwin left to Aussie ytd and Sid is starting his new sem tomorrow. The end of your summer holidays dude!

Nothing much for the day. All I did was sleep sleep and continue sleeping. It's more than 10 hours of sleep if I'm not mistaken. That is a total payoff for my lack of rest throughout the week. What else? Tomorrow is the 1st day of March. Any resolutions for the month people? As for me, I'm still good with my resolutions except for the bible reading part haha. Commitment commitment!

Internship ending in 19 days. Counting down! I can't wait to finish my diploma. Degree another 3 more years which sums it up to 6 years to obtain a degree in Computer Engineering with Honours. Sad though cause it's freaking long. Close to studying medicine don't you think so? Tht's all for today :)

Hard Rock Cafe

Went to Hard Rock Cafe at KL for a band performance by Sher Ree's bf. Getting there was tough! The journey was even worst with Sher Ree & Mandy! They refused to sent me home. There's a valid reason behind it. Meet up with some of the band members at Sunway Hotel then headed straight to KL. Simply follow the routes:

Get into NKVE from Sunway
There will be two routes diverged after the toll. Take the one on the right which shows "KLCC"
Take the smart tunnel
Get into Jalan Ampang. Take the same route you used to get to Zouk. Hard Rock Cafe is located at the same row of Zouk, maybe just a little further.

When we reached there, Sher Ree and I wanted to have dinner since our stomach were crying out loud. It was bad! The nearest restaurant/hawker stall is located about 10-15mins from HRC. Guess what happen? We actually went to Caltex and maggi mee instead =.='''. Epic la seriously..

Once Upon A Time, There Was A Sausage Named Bob

Their performance was awesome. Vocalist was fantastic and so are the rest of the band members. They composed their own songs and most of their lyrics are random! I kinda liked that 'Stupid Monkey' song of theirs. The crowds were enjoying it as well. So basically, this is not your ordinary "High school ciplak band" that just came out of no where and hitting the streets. Amazing. It does remind me of Fried Chikin... haihz nostalgic

Sher Ree and Mandy brought their Nikon cameras. It's fun to have one. But to think of a good DSLR which costs about RM3k is unaffordable for now since I am not generating any cash from anywhere. Should start a small business.

Though I love snapping pictures, there are times where noobness reached its maximum level when one have not properly hold a DLSR before.

Reunion

Planned a small reunion dinner with Edwin, Bertrand and some friends yesterday night. At first, I wanted to call it off cause of the family dinner with cousins which is held on the same night. But since I planned it, I could not afford to ffk last minute. The plan was simply to have dinner at Taipan Sin Kong (Tai Chow) but Yao Huang suggested another place - Ayam Penyet Ria.

The chicken was awesome, but the sambal is omg! Super hot spicy like never before. It knocks all that Nandos's spices, sambal belacan, cili kering or whtsoever. Spiciness at its maximum level. But, it was just damn funny cause we made lotsa lame jokes about the Ayam Penyet. From hot chicks passing by, till Lindley's father driving honda city banging Sidharth Pillai. LOL!

Plans, they keep on coming. It came to a point where I even made plans which I shouldn't have. It's like having 2 dinners on one day. Sadness, my brain is not serving me well. Should have bought the book 'How to keep your brains alive' in MPH. Well, so here are the plans for this week;

Wednesday night - Reunion dinner with friends. Clash with CNY Reunion dinner with cousins.
Thursday night - Party at Euphoria with Mandy since it's her birthday. But I'm running out of cash.
Friday night - Party at Maisons. Ohh gosh this is so not good. Else, I'll be heading down to Mid Valley to meet up with my uni mates since UniMAP organize a trip to Genting for all ex-facilitators for the 2009/2010 intake.
Saturday - Genting till evening/night depending on plans.

I've gotta make up my mind before 12pm. Wish me luck lolz.

Been really busy last week till I really had no time blogging. Lecturer En. Zul came to Computer Protocol to check on my Industrial Training and progress. My presentation was clear, though some of my facts and information are not concrete enough. Supervisor Mr. Sheeva helped me out in almost every single part he could. Thank goodness. He really did save my neck! Later, felt a little guilt in myself for not being able to demonstrate my knowledge and understanding. Sometimes, I realize that my ego/self-confidence is so darn high that I assume I know almost everything. Gotta fix on that asap.

What I am happy about:

Presentation is over. Tensions gone for now. Proceed with Industrial Training for the next one month.
My supervisor for being so helpful. Am really grateful to have him.
Computer Protocol is a great company as described by En. Zul. I chose a pretty good place to do my internship where I've adopted the knowledge and experience on VoIP.
Supervisor gave me 85/100 for his overall assessment of my performance.

Went to Danica's party at her house on Saturday night. Thank goodness I managed to get her something that she likes. It's a key chain with her name engraved on it and a four leave clover. Get to meet up with some of my primary schoolmates such as Marvinder & Preet Kamal. :)

Super Junior (SUJU) & SNSD (Girls' Generation) has released their new album from SM Entertainment called SEOUL. Pretty good song, though it has not been soshified yet. The term 'soshified' means English Subb and it's popular if you watch a lot of YouTube videos. I went through one of the english subb one but it was subb pretty badly lolz. Not as good as the one I saw on channel V, Astro. I didn't know channel V shows music videos of Korean pop artists with subtitles! Oh well, maybe I just found out lately.

Chinese New Year is here! Everyone will be busy packing up, making "zhai choi" and meeting with family and friends. Angpow collection will be a bonus. Unless you're really desperate to visit each and every one of your friends haha. Nahh, I'm just joking. Visiting and being desperate for angpows are two different aspects ok. Do get the right reasons!

Lecturer from UniMAP will be visiting me on the 20/2/2010. It's his 1st visit where he will be assessing my performance, tasks, understanding, knowledge, experience and etc... throughout the entire industrial training program. Pretty tense you know since he's a little fussy. Well, there's only two things that needs to be done.

This means that I'll be doing the "Kerja sambil makan kacang" kinda thing throughout my whole CNY. Sucky but at least I have something to do back in my hometown when it's dead boring. Had my British sitcom "IT Crowd" and several other movies for stanby purposes.

Please drive extra safe when you're going anywhere. There have been several accidents in the North South Expressway this evening. I hope that there isn't any deaths involve. Practice defensive driving technique is something I would advice many to do so.

Daily routine goes on. Life has never been this free haha. When it comes to working, it has to do with something that you are busy with everyday. It can be either a part time job (Working in F&B, retail outlets and etc) or a full timer like my case. But I've gotta tell u that I enjoy working in places that allows me to spend time without notice. Take two scenarios;

Working in restaurants. Busy taking bills to customers, serving food and drinks, being a cashier and etc... Time flies so fast that when you look at your watch... it's time to BALIK!
Office work. Well sooner or later, you'll be experiencing how is it like to be in office! Staring at the computer Facebooking, watching movie, taking your own sweet time, learning stuffs at a very slow rate and etc... Time flies so slow...

Maybe because I'm doing Industrial Training and that's how it is supposed to be. But for some, they might be busy setting up servers, doing metal casting, molding, manufacturing and more... Envy huh? Haha...Worst, you need to figure out what to write for your weekly report. Some even query about my work at Computer Protocol. Questions are like:

Dei, what you do everyday la. Facebook-ing like 24/7 ni. So free la you!
Gosh, I could see your status updates in my home page almost everyday. Are you really working?!
WAIT a minute! Did you just said you were watching movie?
So basically you're treating your office as if it was your house?

Although I do have a lot of free time, I never fail to asked my supervisor for work. I can't sit down and watch movie/YouTube all day long. Gotta be productive! So yeah, he'll assign me some job to do. But, there's no duration to it. "Up to you man. I gave you a task. Just do it at your own pace". I never believe in what the world quotes "I am what I am". So, allow me to state what the world thinks. I am what I am, and will always be who I am made to be. In life, I want people to accept me for who I am. It doesn't really mattes how he/she is feeling towards me. Why would I change? Change for the sake of mankind so I'll be accepted? Or allow people to accept me for who I am without changing? I don't get it. If you don't like me, then just get out of my life. I'm like that! And who are u to care about my attitude and actions. I have mine and you have yours. Take it or leave it. Mind your own business...

As you can see, some people have the wrong perception of 'change' when it comes to attitude. They view change as drastic one rather than the little improvements that could mean a lot to the people around them. Is it so hard for you to do something with a little more consideration? Is it so hard for you to leave yourself behind a little while and think about others? You are what you want to be!

What I have to say:
I am the kind of person who always search for improvements in life. If I could do something that could put a smile on someone's face...I would. If I could leave behind my selfishness for a little while, I would. If someone would to tell me that I did something wrong, you will have my thanks a thousand times. Till now, I've been living up to my words. I can't stand people who are static. People who wants to be accepted for who they are. Yes, I accept u for who u are. But, that does not mean that you can do whatever you like without a slight conscience in you. "I'm like that! There's no ******* **** you can do about it!". See...total ignorance...

If you think that I am the only one that is having this problem with you, then you can always ask your closest friend around. I don't judge people, I judge actions. I did my part as a friend by telling you what's wrong with it. The rest is up to you. Decisions are either one of these two;

Accept it as another improvement that needs to be done in your life. Result - Self-explanatory.
Kick it all the way to the curb. Result - You will never improve and stay static. Friends around you will continue to ignore you and your actions since they are unacceptable. Your new friends will cont to suffer the end results of your actions in the long run just as how your close companions did. You will end up in tears as a result of loneliness.

I was still in pain, whole body aching. Ughh, this is terrible. It was pretty bad that I couldn't get off my bed after the evening nap. Kevin, Chen and Mag was being persuasive in getting Sid and I to Zouk. The main reason I rejected is mainly because there is no exact number of people coming for it. I had enough of nights with the guys. There is no way that I'm getting in without girls. Simple as that. After much discussions, Sid and I decided to go. The only reason that kept me going is because of Mag haha. Did not see her for almost 7 years already.

Oh btw, we forget our directions to Zouk. Someway somehow, we took the NPE - Smart Tunnel and to Jalan Tun Razak. From Tun Razak, choose the road that leads to Jalan Ampang. Zouk should be on your left. Feel free to park around that area with a fee of RM8-RM10. And just as we were about to turn into the parking lot....

Some bloody MyVI hit us from the side. I was a little in shock cause it was so sudden. Nothing much to say except F**K! So who's right and who's fault?

MyVI - "Dude, you're in the 2nd lane cutting into the first lane"
Wira - "I've put my signal turning right ON!" Instead, you hit me from the side. I did nothing!"
MyVI - "But you're cutting from the 2nd lane. You're in the wrong"
Wira - "If I've signaled right, the person on that lane must give way to the driver on the left. It's a simple rule in the undang"

Went to check on the MyVI damage. Omg, it's like a little scratch in the front side. Not even a dent! He demanded RM500 for that mere scratch. I was damn mad so I told him;

"Dude, your MyVI damage is not even a dent! Look at our Wira. I can settle for you with a paint job that costs RM50. What about it?"

MyVI - "Who the **** are you?!"

He's such a retard! Simple dumb ass that knows nuts about scratch and dent. To avoid any arguments, I just said; "Let's be fair to each other". Done. Later, Mag just gave him RM300 to settle that minor damage. =.='''. Case solved.

It's Friday night and DJ Goldfish will be spinning all the HipHop, Electro and Open Format tracks throughout the night till 3am. I've gotta say that he's good at it. I enjoyed the beats and music. Opened two bottles of Hennesy V.S.O.P. I'm expecting the price to be RM480++ per bottle.

What about the girls? Pretty chun! I was amazed haha! It's like the 2nd best right behind Euphoria. Tempat inilah yang sesuai untuk cuci mata. Jika berkebolehan, boleh minta dia orang datang minum bersama.

Ambience - The lighting of the main dance floor in Zouk is good. There's just one thing I dislike about night clubs - Smokes. Inhaling 2nd hand smoke increases the risks of lung cancer. Haha, alright I'll stop the nonsense here.

Drinks - Hennesy V.S.O.P. What say you? :D. But do bare in mind that the bottles in Zouk are expensive! When I mean expensive, it really is. Therefore, you might wanna have a look into your wallet before proceeding.

Well well, wanted to booze that night since I was a little emotional. I wasn't expecting to booze since there are only a few of us whom are willing to fork out money. Went to SS19 for dinner. I didn't expect the word "Tai Chow" refers to dishes like fish, vegetables, tofu, pork and etc. Tai Chow is the word used for fried rice, noodles and etc isn't it? Anyways, Chen told me that those fried noodles, hokkien noodles, fried rice and etc are under "Sai Chow". Confusing or was I using the word wrongly all the while?

Called Huey Ching up for booze later at 9pm. Our destination was Library. Sad to say that when we reached there, it was fully packed! Like seriously packed you know. Looks as if people were buying booze like there's no tomorrow. We had no choice but no head down to Laundry bar. I was told that its freaking expensive there. @@!! Lesson to learn: Please hit the bars earlier...maybe before 9pm?

A bucket of Heineken at RM78.20 including service tax. That would be about RM20 per person since there's only 4 of us. Expensive no? Its price is as equivalent as Bangsar's pubs haha. Music is pretty okay. Talking about Mist... Ever since Fly FM took over, their tracks, beats and all are mainly the ones from the radio station which you'll be hearing everyday. Boring! SNSD (Girls' Generation) has released their 2nd album Oh!. Yeah, I was like "Oh! shytte" this is awesome stuffs. They are my favorite Korean pop group. Another friend and I was like discussing about Girls' Generation on how they gather most of the good looking girls into one group. Do they have a filter tap or something? Who can sing and who can't sing? Haha, it doesn't really matter to me for now. If I'm really into it, I'll have to listen closely then. Anyways, good job SNSD! 5 stars :)

Did not have any work today. Just went round checking blogs and Facebook-ing all the while. Haha, if only I was paid to play Facebook...gosh I'll earn so much. Went to BB Plaza in the afternoon after lunch. Btw, my lunch break is 2 hours. So friends, if you happen to be around Imbi/Bukit Bintang area, you can call me up for lunch. It's from 12.00pm-2pm. Went into MPH Bookstore to check on the latest magazines for the month of Feb. Cleo's Feb issue is out. Haha, I remember reading something about '11 reasons to stay single for now'. I shall get my hands on it soon.

Played futsal at Sportsplanet yesterday afternoon with Sidharth, Yao Huang, Ken Boon and a few others. Pretty good game although I was out of stamina at one moment. Crap man, this sucks. My stamina has deteriorate since I stop exercising after high school. Used to jog like crazy at USJ 4 padang just for Larian Jalan Raya. Manatau masuk Uni d...habis, sudah menjadi satu kemalasan yang teramat sangat haha. Oh well, I'm up to something now. Most probably starting in February. Hopefully I'll be able to live up to it!

World Wrestling Federation (WWF) is like one of the best entertainment of all time back few years ago. I remember watching it when I was std 6. As I was browsing YouTube videos, I bumped into one of the RAW vids. I was like "Woah, this brings back memories". Started watching The Rock, Stone Cold, Triple H and all over again for the past 2 days. But wrestling was at its best during that time, but for now...not anymore since a few legends left wrestling like Stone Cold and The Rock. Eddie Guerrero & Chris Benoit has passed away. Had mamak session yesterday with Yao Huang, Sidharth and Lindley. Woah Lindley, after so long baru wanna tunjuk batang hidung. Belagak la now haha. Joking la. We all know you're really busy with life. Understandable :) Anyways, work has been pretty boring. I hadn't been doing anything this week. Thank goodness I have some new documentation to read. Could use the notes for my weekly log book report. Photostatted most of my certs and documents to be certify by SMK USJ 4 on Monday. Gotta submit all of them by next week. Maybe I'll use DHL or some other courier service except our Postlaju since post laju is not even laju.

Computer Engineering at IPTA

The theory is proven right. I had a viral infection few days back and it took me about 4 days to get rid of it. Well there is a little cough and flu later, but the sore throat and fever is gone. So yeah, there is no point going to the doctor and taking antibiotics that does nothing. Btw, I'm fully recovered already so let's hang out shall we?

Things have been going pretty slow for me. Busy with application forms for local university and getting my documents ready for submission. Looks like I'll be heading back to SMK USJ 4 to certify my photostatted certificates and etc... Felt really bored this week since I'm not given much task to do. Damn, I'm afraid I would not be able to write my weekly report for the week...

Anyways, here is my list of local universities selected based on their priorities

I do know that some of my friends were asking about me heading back to UniMAP. Well, here are the few reasons why I've decided to return to UniMAP.

UniMAP's degree for Computer Engineering is recognized by EAC and MQA
3 years of degree with 1 year credit exemption. For other IPTAs', UTeM and UTM offers 1 year credit exemption. The rest requires you to do a full 4 year degree programme in regardless of how many subjects/credits you are exempted.
It is a lot cheaper compared to private universities offering engineering programmes such as Monash and Nottingham. I cannot afford to pay RM34,000 - RM37,000 per year for education. Even with scholarships + PTPTN, it would still be a burden for my parents. Local uni degree programmes are about RM2.8k per year only. See the difference?

Painful as it is to return to UniMAP, painful as it gets to leave my comfort zone, is something I had to sacrifice once more. I did so much for my diploma with only one intention: To get myself out of UniMAP and never again return to this place. My efforts are wasted... What more could I do...

70% recovery

It's the 4th day already and I'm almost recovered...like almost. Currently having a little cough + flu. My fever has subsided, not fully of course but good enough for me to move around. Been drinking lots of water to keep my body hydrated. It looks as if I'm replenishing my loss body fluids which I've not been doing for the past few weeks.

As for today, I just rested at home. Wanted to do some house chores which I've been procrastinating for the past few days. Tomorrow! Tomorrow la...next week la! Lol, and it never comes. So thanks to my mom, I've decided to clean up my desk this week. Here are a few items that I took out from my drawer.

This day, I knew that it was never ever gonna happen anymore. Thought for a while...and then I decided to break it...

The Marcus is currently down with fever. I'm suspecting the causes are my throat being injured few days back. I have no idea how I injured myself, but I do know that I was spitting blood out from my throat 3 days back. Anyways, I did not consult the doctor because I wanted to prove that the theory is correct.

The theory explains:

Sore throat is divided into two groups which is the Viral infection & Bacteria infection

Viral infection:
Usually the common ones among those whom are down with sore throat. Basically, sore throats due to viral infections are cured in 3 days time. After that, in which you are experiencing extreme pain in the throat and high fever, it's time for you to see the doctor. There is no significant cure for this except to let the antibodies in your body to fight off the virus.

Bacteria infection:
There will be white spotted dots on your tonsils. These signs indicate that bacteria is breeding in that area. Your tonsils will be swollen and intense pain is felt in the throat. Antibiotics works against bacteria and not viruses! Remember there are times when your doctor gave you antibiotics and you have no idea whether you're actually having a bacteria infection? It might be viral infection all the while since viral infection is so common.

In my case, I knew I wasn't near to bacteria infection because I'm down with cold, slight fever and there is no pain in my throat. Furthermore, I'm not spitting thick green mucus, which I assume is the pus from the tonsils if you're infected with bacteria. Anyways, this is just the 2nd day. If tomorrow morning I'm still experiencing high fever, then I'll consult the doctor.

My solution:

Drink lots of fluids especially water
Gargle with salt water about 2x a day. Damn I should have tried 3x haha
Take plenty of rest. Avoid outdoor activities
Taking paracetamol to reduce my fever. Not more than 6 tables a day of course.
Warm bath to cool down your body. You've gotta shower trust me!
Take simple food like bread, milo or biscuits which are easy to be digested
Food! There are times where you don't feel like eating anything. The situation may worsen cause your stomach will began excreting acid which causes wind. Wind = Vomiting. Remember, the stomach needs it even if you don't want it.

Me and a couple of friends decided to try out Left 4 Dead 2 at Rock Cafe, Sunway. It's funny. Aidil called up Rock Cafe and one of them said that L4D2 has been installed. When we went there yesterday, it seems that there is only L4D. Does that dude understands the difference between L4D and L4D2? Ishh waste time ni. So we went to FTZ instead, hoping that there will be less people + L4D2 + no lag connection.

To my surprise, the game went pretty smooth. There is some delay of course when the horde is attacking you and etc... FTZ used to be our favourite place for Cyber Cafe, but nahh...their PC's are not well maintained. Worst, so many DotA players haha. I'm not anti-ing DotA alright.

What's new in L4D2?

Special infected:
Chargers - They'll charge towards you. Once pinned, it'll keep smashing ya till someone kills it
SpitterGoo - These are like poison Ivys. They spit some deadly acid towards ya. Health decreases rapidly if you stay in that puddle of acid.
Jockey - They'll ride you like a jockey. Kinda annoying cause if you're at the 3rd floor of a building and Jockey comes riding ya, you'll have to prepare to fall to your death hahaah.

Weapons:

Chain Saw - The most powerful melee weapon. Deals massive damage to zombies and bosses.

Saturdays, ohh my Saturdays...why do I have to work on Saturdays? It's pretty sad that I had to wake up so early almost everyday just to do my internship. Macam hari sekolah je...lol. But I do enjoy my working place now in the sense that I work like few hours and spend the rest of the time on Facebook or other websites. Still searching for the best university for computer engineering in Malaysia. It's almost done. Soon, I'll publish it in a picture format.

Yesterday was a terrible day simply because of the fire bomb being thrown into 3 churches and the extream jam which took me 2 hours & 30mins to get home. Haihz, I just don't get it. If they want to protest, just protest and don't do anything else which might instigate war. If the word 'Allah' is prohibited for non-muslims, then so be it. Maybe we Christians shall find another word to replace it in The Herald. But there's one thing that doesn't make sense. Why should they damage the churches when some of them are not even involved in the first place? Why are we told to remove our car stickers that are related to Christianity to avoid car damage by protesters?

Does it come to the extend that they will do anything just to protect their rights...including killing sacred animals and damaging the holy temple of Christians? I don't get it...I just don't... Anyways, it's just some of my thoughts related to yesterday's incident.

Trine, a game which I've been playing for the past 3 days at Sid's place. I would give a rating of 4/5 because of it's effects, characters, and most important of all...the power of the physics machine in build in this game. Kinda enjoyed the game cause you could actually play with your friends by adding 2 more PS controllers. Well, you can use the 'USB PlayStation 2 Controller Converter' to connect the controllers to the PC. You can find these converters in most PC retail outlets.

Finished the game in 3 days. That's a total of 6 hours of game play haha. You can choose to play three different characters at a time. So if you have 3 players, you can either switch between Knight, Wizard or Thief anytime throughout the game.

Samsonite Repair Center at Bangsar is unable to repair my camera pouch. Damn sad. It seems that my current Samsonite pouch has a total different zip compared to the ones available in Malaysia. Below shows the two different zips:

As you can see, the first picture is the common zip available in most of our bags, pants, jeans and etc...compared to the second one. Samsonite repairmen said that they don't have the machine to repair such zips. Oh well, good riddance then. I shall get another one soon if I couldn't bear any longer with the broken zip.

It's a little late blogging about 31st of December, but I had no choice cause I was away to Frasers for 3 days right after the countdown of year 2010. It was a blast! Better than last year in fact mainly because we had the right people with the right attitude(no small groups) and no crowds! Anyways, the party started pretty early with BBQ first (lamb chops, sausages, potato salad, fruit salad, and chicken wings).

I was dead tired laughing at all the jokes we made. It was the best medicine to cure all forms of stress during that time. Then, we went in and played "Heart Attack!" and "Mafia". The worst part is I'm always the citizen! Moreover, I was accused of being the murderer when I get the chance to be a doctor. So, I was like screaming "Dei!!! Don't kill me la wth. I baru naik pangkat wei!!!". The best part is Rafferty died first in the first round of the game itself! Just damn hilarious. Han was trying his "Reverse Psychology" approach but failed at last haha!

- Maintained pointer for first class honors
- Endured the obstacles & challenges in UniMAP for 3 years
- Getting to know more people. PPMS was one of it
- Gain new experiences. Setting up R.O Server for UniMAP KKF
- Less FFK people ahha.
- Acne from my face

Failed:

- To read the bible and have quiet time for myself
- Relationship. An attempt to build the second one ended up in a failure.
- To spend more time with family
- Help people when they needed it
- Words that is not put into action. Happened in a few events.

Things that I've learned:

Set a standard for yourself and stick to it with a strong resolve
Once the battle begins, finish it. Never leave it hanging or unfinished
Parents are important at all times. They mold you for who u are today
Long distance relationship is something not many are willing to sacrifice
Fighting for love will not bring you any further when you've already know the outcome
Finding someone in your life is a natural process
Always believe in God and have faith in your prayers
Forcing yourself out of a situation you're stuck into leads to a better ending
Love is so powerful that it blinds your judgment at times. Get rational when you're deeply in love. Twice the pride, double the fall.
Beware of the tongue, for it may bless or curse depending on how it is used.
Be a man of word. Don't make promises you can't keep
Don't do things for the sake of someone else. Example. If you wanna build up, then build up for yrself and not for anyone else. If not, you are portraying an image which is a lie~

Went out with my parents for Seafood and Escapade, Mentari later. Gosh, Escapade like orang tua punya tempat. No young chicks...sadness! Lucky got freebies to play with ahhaaha
Lepak with Ying Wai, Yew Ken, Vivek, Ping Ying, and some other friends at Sunway on Christmas day. Played pool at the hotel. Pretty good spot if you know what I meant. Watched Sherlock Homes around 4.30pm. The movie is great. This Robert Downey Jr. looks as if he knows everything. From weapons of mass destruction to investigation...

Tasted both Jogoya & Tenji for the past 2 days already. Here's a little review about the two japanese buffet restaurants. First and foremost, I'll list down the food which is served by both restaurtants and are equally good.

Cod fish. There's no denial to it. You'll have to wait for it and it's really delicious
Fresh oysters. Both restaurants served fresh oysters and there isn't much difference in it
Lamb shoulders. Grilled to perfection. Both equally good!
Salmon. All kinds of salmon. They are fresh and worth the eat-all-you-can thingy.
Fragrance coconut. You cannot afford to miss this alright :)

So now, which is better? Jogoya or Tenji. As for me, I vote Jogoya in regardless of the VIP meals that I had. Jogoya's turnover for the fragrance coconut is really fast. Once the stock is out, they bring in more as soon as they can. If you asked whether I love Baskin Robbins/Haagen Dazs, Haagen Dazs would be my choice. It is less sweet and much more rich in flavour compared to Baskin. Jogoya's Haagen Dazs has much more variety compared to Tenji. They serve you with lots of flavours and damn...they are fast. You don't even hafta wait to scoop yourself a cup of ice-cream like it is in Tenji.

When it comes to seafood, Jogoya did well in the sense that they had most of the seafood served by Tenji. What more? Jogoya serve Dim Sum, Chinese Herbal Soup and lots more such as the red snapper. They won an extra point by serving abalone & unagi. Moreover, their steam crab is better compared to Tenji's. What I saw in Tenji's steam crab is that they didn't remove the gills (do read the side effects of the gills online).

What about the desserts? I didn't really taste them cos I was so busy with the exotic food in both restaurants. Don't tell me you're gonna fill up yrself with fruits and fresh vegetables when you can do it some other time. But I did taste the cocktails. Tenji won in this section mainly because of their Blue Martini. Drink a few more cups and go HIGH!

In conclusion, this review is based only on my opinions for the past 2 days visiting these restaurants. Both Japanese buffet restaurants are competing with each other. If you plan to try it, do it now as they are offering Christmas promotions. Price range will be around RM67 (2 pax) for Tenji and RM49 (2 pax) for Jogoya. I believe there are days where Tenji's food is better than Jogoya's and vice versa. But for now, I vote Jogoya!

Jogoya...the 2nd famous Japanese buffet in Malaysia. But after tasting the food, I think it's right on top of Tenji. I'll make a review about Tenji & Jogoya soon alright. Computer Protocol MD, Mr. MC decided to treat every staff/trainee a wonderful lunch located right in the heart of StarHill. My freaking seafood from Tenji is still digesting wei! Omg haha, such awesomeness. Anyways, we walk from Jalan Bukit Bintang towards StarHill. It is my first time stepping into StarHill. It feels super high class in here...just like Solaris. StarHill is known for its 4 digit items in almost every store!

The que was super long. Thank goodness my company have booked a place for us to have lunch. As soon we're there, we were invited to enter into some VIP room. And the VIP ambiance is nice. Feels so much more private in here haha.

Tenji...what in the world in Tenji? Of course you've heard so much about that Japanese buffet been mentioned around. My group of friends decided to head there for the exotic Japanese cousin in Mont Kiara, Solaris. We were lost at first, but thank goodness we made it there in time. As soon as we found our place, all of us rush towards the buffet and started taking food. I know it's a little jakun but hey, who doesn't get excited when you see so much good food around you? It's crazy!!!

Went to Summit for AVATAR today. Wanted to watch the so called "Most expensive movie ever made". So how expensive is expensive? Wiki states that it is about $237mil. But I think the total costs of the movie would be way more than 237mil. I would suggest most of you to watch it in 3D because it is worth all those 3D effects, detailed scenery and sound effects. Guess what? The Na'vis are computer generated characters! Not your ordinary make-up actor or something. That is some serious hard work over there I would say. I give it a 5/5 rating!

Later at night, went to Naili's Place for mamak sessions. Dammit, I shall not use the term mamak when it's not mamak! What should I call it? Chilling out sessions or whtsoever la. Place is pretty good. Fries and Wedges are not bad, but the Float Root beer is not as good as A&W ;)

Well well, I've been getting this mindset that when I started working, it's the end of my party life. I can imagine how my life is going to be in like 5 years time? Sitting in the office, doing office work 5 1/2 days a week. 8 hours a day from 9am - 5pm. Worst if I had to do O.T. But looks like I have to stop thinking that way. There's always this happy hour thing remember? After a tiring day full of work, let's drink! Haha. But heck no. Imagine throwing like RM30 a week for booze. Rosak liver bodoh. There's always room for mamak sessions at night. But I need to get at least 6 hours of sleep everyday to escape from being lethargic. Tahan!!

When it comes to fashion, what comes into your mind? Dress up with the latest fashion trends in town? Dress to kill? Or should I say...dress according to what type of personality you wanna portray? Oh well, there are many ways to express and define fashion. As for me, I'm the type of person who dresses up based on my personality and character. I search for comfort too when it comes to dressing up. But, I'm pretty sure some of you would 'sacrifice' by wearing outfits that makes you look good in it. For all the girls out there, we guys appreciates your effort! :)

However, there are times when people dress up pretty well, but fail in other major aspects. Example: Personality & Attitude. I'm not saying that you shouldn't bother dressing up well when you have character. What I'm trying to imply is that if you're dressing up to that standard, your personality should match that standard. Example: A dresses so well that everyone looks at her suffers from the WOW effect. However, A is messy like shyte that he/she does not bother about anything else except looks. Piled up dirty clothes, not cleaning the dishes after meals and etc. Being judgemental by treating people differently based on how they look. Hey! Being good looking does not mean you have the upper hand to judge others just because their appearance are not as good as yours

You have what it takes to be there. It's sad to see that people 'win' by their first impression but fail so badly when their attitude has been revealed. Don't you think you're a hypocrite by doing so? Walk the talk! Wouldn't it be better if you actually synchronize both in attitude & fashion when bringing yourself around? Well well, the world is round. No one's perfect but there's always something you can do about it to make the world a better place right.

Always remember that Appearance = temporary. Attitude = carry to your grave. I'm not perfect either and so are you. Have a friend that is similiar to this situation? Tell him/her about it. At the end of the day, the choices we make are what we are today. Therefore, fashion + attitude = respect. Just food for thought. No offence alright :)

Attended my cousin's wedding yesterday at Grand Dorsett Hotel (formerly known as Subang Sheraton Hotel). Food was good but my place was a little sucky. They did not arrange the cousins together, in the sense that family members should be given priority compared to others. My sister wasn't happy when she was saying that I should sit with the cousins and all. Well well...where did I sit? With my cousin's cliques. Lol... Biarlah. I just try to make conversations with them. Anyways, meeting my cousins and all were the best of all I would say. Keeping in touch with my cousins, aunty & uncles is just simply awesome!

I've just completed my 1st week of internship. So far so good...thx to my cliques and the good food in KL. Money was an issue at first because I'll be spending most of it on food. Such an indulgence. Haha. Been reading lotsa documentations in the first week. So bored of it that I nearly slept off. When that happens, I'll just walk to the washroom & wash my face. Drink a cup of milo and continue... You know what? Documentation = Studying the company's product like its functions, configurations, administrations and etc... It's like studying for finals I would say. Made mind maps and notes based on my understanding.... Ughh kerja gila ni

Internship...been waiting for this since few semester ago. I still remember that day when us computer engineers were discussing about our working place like...where are we gonna apply. Penang? or KL? The so called "gathering" wasn't a gathering at all haha. Pretty small group...but it's cool hhaa. By mid dec, I should be seeing most of you guys d. No alasan!

I'm back! And this time, I'll be back for about 4 solid months. But sad to say, it's not a 100% holiday thingy cause I'll be doing my internship somewhere in Bukit Bintang area. Will be working just like any other ordinary people. Will be stuck in traffic jams and congested train stations. It is just about time for me to enter into the real working environment. How cool is that?!

Went out with my parents to Summit today. Sister was wondering about the amount of Adidas bags carried by so many people. There must be something ON today! Guess what? Adidas factory outlet store is selling all its merchandise at 80% discount. I wasn't keen at first cause there were so many people queuing outside the shop. It's like crazy man! Not my kinda thing to rush and find something nice then cabut. The main reason I waited = I needed a sport shoe badly haha. There's only 2 price tags: RM120 / RM200

The moment my sis and I entered, we went separate ways...searching for the most attractive shoe we can find. Damn ganas. Everyone was like grabbing 3-4 pairs of shoes. I quickly search for my size in the AdiPrem zone. Thank goodness I was able to grab a pair before it's all gone...in just minutes!

It has been almost a week since I finished my finals. Friends were going off & packing stuff...ready to get home as soon as possible, while we computer engineers had to stay for our final year project or better known as FYP. This FYP alone was not as hard as I expected. But, when problems and issues comes one after another...that's when the obstacles gets tougher. First of all, I'll start off with my project titled "FPGA-based Multi Level Parking Monitoring System".

Basically, this project helps users to reduce the amount of time spent in the parking lot, searching for a car park when there isn't one. More to like assisting the users in which parking basement has available parking space. I'll opened up a new post specifically for my project later.

Emotions and all started coming in throughout the FYP week. It was the last 7 days of our diploma before we have to present our project to the panels. All I did was pushing...pushing and pushing myself so hard...with one purpose = To complete the project. Every morning, I wake up as early as 7.30am...to catch the 8.30 bus to my FYP lab. Stayed there till 5pm. If there's no transport back to the hostel, I'll just hafta walk...which I actually did.

There are times when I feel like I couldn't go on. It was tiring, frustrating, mentally stressed up trying to troubleshoot my sensor circuit for about 3-4 hours. No time to relax. Thank goodness I made it. Out of 4 sensor circuits I've soldered, only 2 managed to produce the desired output.

The day I've been waiting for throughout this whole semester is here. The VIVA demonstration of your project. This day, each and everyone of us are to show your results of your FYP. No matter how bad it goes...you just have to show something. The list of presenters are as follows;

I was 2nd on the list! Wtf!? And there's is only one FPGA board which is being used by my partner for his project. So when the panels came, I told them that we had to share one single board. One of the panels said "That's your problem!". I didn't wanna argue, so I just sighh...and told them to continue. After some discussion...they allowed me to buy some time while I fix up my project to the FPGA board. It was a sense of relieved!

I fix my project as soon as I can. Sad to say that the whole system is behaving abnormally. It has to be either the circuitry of the wires, or the sensors itself. I tried to troubleshoot as much as I can. My partner's FPGA board had problems as well, so he asked whether he could use mine. As u know, my whole circuit is wired with the board...and to put them back again takes about 30mins or more.

I was in dilemma. It's the 9th presenter now, and I have tried my best trying to troubleshoot my project. They gave me more than enough time already. So, I decided to tell the panels to VIVA me after the 9th presenter. It was the only way...

The project wasn't a failure. I could produce the perfect results the day before. I told them how the system is suffering. Bla bla bla... + confidence. I was able to answer most of the questions they throw at me...except for that one and only. He just keeps coming at me...expects me to produce a project as intelligent as the japanese or something. Other panels don't find it a problem... Anyways, I believe that they understood what I was saying.

The whole VIVA thingy ended at 8.30pm. Imagine how long we were there in the lab since 9.00am. Gila tired. Went to KFC for some good meal and chats + discussion about the whole FYP demo thingy.

Final year project (FYP) has given me more than enough stress and pressure like never before. I can't imagine that this FYP alone had cause my anxiety level to rise like hell. It went to the extent that I couldn't sleep well, neither I had a peace of my mind when I'm not at work. My current progress lies at 80% and looks like I'll get stuck dere till my presentation... I'm tired...just so tired...

I told my supervisor before that I wanted the FPGA-based Parking Monitoring System title so badly cause I had the motivation and enthusiasm to do it. "Sir, please change my topic with the parking system. I can do it sir!!!". I was overjoyed and excited when he allows me to do so.

One after another problem...it just keep on coming. 2 problems went down to 1...and from 1 went up to 3 problems.... No matter how hard I try, they just keep coming... sensors..sensors, what have I done wrong? How can 2 same circuits produce different outputs when none of the components are burn?!?!? Woke up as early as possible everyday...take the earliest bus to the lab....try to troubleshoot the problem... Sacrifices...and more sacrifices..

But since I have 3 more days to go... I'll just do my best because for my current situation....only a miracle/blessing or prayer can help me. So, do keep me prayer thank you :)

Over...over omg I can't believe that I've finished my finals!! It has been suffering from the 3rd of November till the 13th, with sleepless nights + worry and some stress. Had some difficulties in studying though, cause most of us studied so much for the tests and lab tests already. More like refreshing our memories and reapplying it all over again. The mood to study wasn't there as well. But, I managed to put myself together and gave it my best shot. Just hope I'll be able to pass with flying colors.

Software Engineering - Our very 1st paper on the 3rd of November... It was lil tough but ok la. Still can goreng some facts inside. Correct or not = unknown haha. So basically what do I learn in this subject? Java programming, software terms, design models for software engineering and more. Mainly Java - The Object Oriented Programming.

Next paper was Industrial Safety and Quality Management. This subject explain about safety in the industrial field. Why is it important to be safe? Kai Zen implementation tools for continuous improvements, Personal Protective Equipment, Pareto chart and more. Subject is pretty interesting haha.

I need to get in as soon as possible!!

3rd paper was Microcontroller II, which is the most toughest and hardest paper of all time in Computer Engineering Diploma. What's so difficult about this subject? Programming in C for interfacing the Microcontroller 8051 to external outputs such as PIA 8255, external ROM/RAM with larger memory spaces and etc. The programming itself is tedious, and in order for one to completely answer his questions...you'll need to understand almost everything about micro.c. Your basics in Digit and Micro.c I = perfect. O.O...gg la the paper hahaha

Busy busy busy. These words are stuck in my head for the past one week. My daily routine has burn me out...little by little. I'm starting to feel that I've lost too much time in the beginning of this semester. The end results are just as I am about to experience... "I wish I had more time". Anyways, life has been pretty hectic. I've been up late at night, rushing both final year project and finals at the same time. Every morning my roommate wakes up, I will automatically be awake. It's like a frigging trigger button or something which tells me that "It's time to study Marcus". Haha, Kite is my driving force. But, we have not been studying together lately.

Study week ain't a study week for me. I began touching my notes and slides on Friday. Thank goodness that I studied for my Test 2 and all. It does help me a lot to remember some definitions and facts. I didn't even step into the library this week! It's like the first time man!!! Zzz... FYP FYP. Just so you know that I will not be updating till the 13th of November. Gotta rush here and there...so wish me the best of luck in both finals and FYP. Do keep me in prayer, coz I will be needing it. It has been a tiring week...and I have not been getting enough rest. For the past few days, I'm so busy with lab tests, test2, mini projects, and FYP. Damn I couldn't breathe... It's like one of the most tiring week of the year. Mentally tired and frustrated. Physically exhausted + lethargic. My pimples are clearing...so its kinda great. More likely to be 95% cleared. Went for some inter-school sports event at Kubang Gajah. Nothing much but a boring day indeed. It's pretty sad coz most of my friends didn't turn up for the event. I had no choice because of 2 reasons. No.1. It's my final year already, and I won't be attending such event if I don't return to UniMAP. No.2 - I'm the volleyball captain for the diploma students. Lost both rounds, 20-25 & 23-25. Was able to close the gap haha. I thought we would lose like shyte, i mean...mebe around 10-25? Thank goodness they were not as good as I expected haha. :P Later, the person in charge of the volleyball event asks whether any1 could become a referee for the finals. Dip students pointed at me. I was excited lolz. Referee siut. 1st time...with no experience but I managed to pull it off :)

At last, BTN is here! So what is BTN? It is a compulsory programme for all local university students. In UniMAP, it is called 7 pillars (Degree) and 3 pillars (Diploma). Missed this programme = Can't graduate! So, us 2nd intake of diploma students from UniMAP have been waiting for this BTN for the past 4 semesters! Imagine how long it took them to plan this whole thing up. 2 years!? The best part is that BTN is only 1 DAY!!! Gila @@!! All the first intakes have to undergo this BTN program for 3 days 2 nights. Yaya, games n speeches but I rather not haha. Not in the mood for all these fun stuff for now. 3 speeches which is basically like a freaking brainwashing talks. They discussed mainly about politics and economy. Ahh ISA ISA!!!

Woke up early this morning, coz I had to meet my supervisor at 10am. Decided to leave early cause there is lots to do today. From calibrating the Altera UP3 board clock frequency to deciding the proper electronic components for my infrared sensor module. At least there's a lil progress today. 2 tests next week, which is Micro.c II and Software Engineering. Looks like I've really gotta get out of my comfort zone! Took a nap from 5pm-7pm. 100% kong lol.

Reluctant to help ppl out has become one of my major probs I've notice lately. So, looks like I'm gonna be a YES man next week :D

UniMAP Accreditation Status

Attended a siri dialog bersama Timbalan Naib Canselor at Dewan Kapitol yesterday. Each school sent 2 representatives to that talk, so they could spread the news to the rest. Yee Ann and I represented PPK Komputer & Perhubungan (Diploma). I shall summarize it so that everyone gets a clear point about our accreditation status for both diploma and degree programs.

Degree Programs:
*5 years of accreditation from EAC and MQA.

Bachelor of Engineering (HONS)
- Computer Engineering
- Microelectronic

As for the other 8 degree programs, you don't have to worry about your so called "Not recognized" degree. The main fact is that EAC has not process and submit the final results to UniMAP. Other local universities suffer the same as well. Go do some study abt it when you're free. Therefore, MQA has no choice but to wait for a "Green Light" from EAC in order to give that accreditation status to those 8 programs. Timbalan Naib Canselor and the other people working under it are pushing EAC like crazy, so be patient alright :)

Diploma Programs:
All 6 diploma programs are fully accredited by MQA for life. No problems for furthering your studies/working. So, support UniMAP Diploma Programs, especially Computer Engineering...coz we're one of the best diploma programs with Micro.e in UniMAP.

Moon cake festival is here! Yeah yeah, but it's like not happening anymore compared to last time. Still remember those days where you bug your parents to get your favorite lantern at Pasar Malam? Hmmp, somehow I miss those days...mah childhood days. Goodness, it's been years since I touch those lanterns. Now it's just the paper lanterns that we "teens" play with. It was raining in the evening, so the place is like pretty wet. Tak best, coz kenot burn stuff. As for me, I'll go round picking up dried leaves & branches...put them all 2gether and burn lol. Worst, I'll find millipede and burn them woohoo. Hangus. Haha, I know I sounded damn evil. But that was like...3-4 years ago? Anyways, lepak with some friends from the BioMedic faculty and celebrate the Mid-Autumn Moon Cake Festival. :)
